Not what you were expecting???

Wow! I would watch this a hundred times. Very erotic and disturbing; not the silly comedy this man is known for. But worth watching. I loved it. PLEASE Put it back on the site so I can watch it, or order it, buy it, rent it...where can I find this movie to watch? I found it here, but its gone now. Please put it back on this site or a link to another place to find it. Thanks, Dane Cook rocks my socks. Genius, Super Genius..."thank you angel wearing jeans"..."Dane-gel" -seriously, this movie is not for children. It's an exploration of some serious issues and it paints a painful picture of failure and self-esteem, if you are looking for the comedy stylings of Mr. Cook, don't stop here; but if you like serious drama and can appreciate some dark humor thrown in with the painful truth of how down you can go, check out Spiral.

One of a kind

I had the pleasure of viewing this short film years ago but thanks to Dane for finally giving access to it for the newer fans via his website.

This is a dark, edgy & controversial film that gives you an insight into a troubled mind.

Dane Cooks powerful performance goes beyond anything I have ever seen. Definitely deserving of the awards he received in 2000. Dane Cook won the Pixie Award for Best Actor in an i-Feature Film & Kevin D. Ross won for Best Editing in an i-Feature Film.

He does an excellent job and is very convincing. I wish Dane would seek more roles like this. I'd love to see him in suspense, Thriller, horror and action type films!

If you get a chance to see this short film you won't be disappointed. I just wish Dane would release this on DVD. It's a keeper.

Difficult subject with an effortless delivery.

A high-energy soundtrack. Sublime cinematography. A dark, nihilistic vision of the X-Generation: this short delivers a punch in a manner not unlike that of the past 5 years worth of music video.

The difference here is that the actors in this film display actual skill and their performances are relevant and meaningful. While the subject at hand is fairly heavy, the delivery by cast and crew never gets heavy-handed. Excellent performances by Previdi and Cook.

A rare short subject GEM! SPIRAL

Rarely is an 18 minute Short feature as gripping and compelling as "Spiral". It takes charge and plugs you into the dark corner of one man's universe. It is thought provoking and challenging. Very well crafted , with a great performance by Dane Cook. Very well edited (10 stars for that alone). Definitely worth the ticket and as gritty as they get. Modern film noir in a Gen-x straight jacket!! I really had to watch it a second time in order to appreciate it, and I rarely do that with a short feature. I wasn't sure what to expect on this one(recommended by a friend), but it is a strong dark vision commentary; ahead of its game. I wish they would re-issue it; as it is very hard to find. 10 out of 10 - Don't miss this one!
