- TriviaIn 2014, Judy Greer spoke of the film in an interview. Greer states, "I don't know why that movie got so fucked up. I don't understand it. I thought the script was fine. Honest to God, I didn't get the big deal. I don't know who kept making them fuck with it". She goes on to say, "Then we shot the movie for, like, seven years. I think they said we had four movies worth of footage. It was so fun, but so weird. I don't get it. I couldn't figure it out."
- GoofsThe pentagrams on many characters' hands appear and disappear with each camera angle change.
- Alternate versionsThe Canadian theatrical version of the movie is the original US R-rated cut, which was later released in the U.S. as the unrated DVD. In Canada, the DVD was only released in the uncut version, labeled as "Uncensored" (see below).

Werewolves in Hollywood
Wes Craven gave the teenage horror movie a new lease of life with his brilliant "scream" trilogy .He did not do the same with the vampire flick (the characters are youngsters or young people)which borrows lots of its components from many works of the past.A good example is given by the young brother who takes his revenge like De Palma's Carrie. The human/beast metamorphosis has been showed and showed and showed so often it is no longer exciting (see "a werewolf in London" "howling" "cat people" and more).
Too bad Wes Craven has almost lost his sense of black humor he displayed so masterfully in his trilogy:this script is totally humorless, with the exceptions of one or two scenes:for instance, the breakfast when the sister and the brother are eating raw meat as if it were cornflakes or toasts ;or this line when the brother says to the girl in her car that it might explode.
