For the love of all that is decent, why can’t Kelly Severide ever just be happy? In the five years of Chicago Fire, it’s been awhile since Severide has been truly happy. The fact that there’s a reference to Shay in this episode proves how long it’s been since Severide’s been truly happy. Even Otis, Cruz, and Brett manage to find happiness as new roommates. Sure they have a few bumps, but it works out. Finally Severide has found happiness, and circumstances strips it away from him. Being there for Kannell has to be enough for Casey, because there’s nothing

Keira Knightley has officially joined Chris Pine in Paramount's reboot of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan franchise, the film's screenwriter, David Koepp, confirms to ETonline.
Video: Steve and Keira's Tipsy Last Request
This will be the first Jack Ryan film not based on a previous Tom Clancy book as Koepp tells ETonline that the still-untitled film will be an origin story, explaining how Ryan came to join the C.I.A.
The Hollywood Reporter says Knightley will play Ryan's wife in a storyline that finds her life in danger after the Moscow-based Ryan discovers a terrorist plot to collapse America's economy. Kenneth Branagh will direct the prequel and also play the film's villain.

A homeless man wowed the 'X Factor' judges yesterday (29.05.12). Robbie, 26 - who has been sleeping rough for six years - impressed the panel of Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and guest judge Rita Ora as he belted out an acoustic version of Paolo Nutin's 'Last Request' at London's O2 Arena. A source told The Sun: ''This guy showed up and he did look a bit scruffier than your average 'X Factor' wannabe. ''He was wearing a battered old hat and looked pretty sorry for himself. His story really touched the judges as it was obvious how much it...

14 year old Sophie Plummer took to the Born To Shine stage tonight and blew the audience away with her dulcet tones.
The talented teenager gave a stunning rendition of Paolo Nutini’s ‘Last Request’ on the live ITV show and not only did she sing it beautifully, but her diction and the emotion she conveyed into her vocals, was really amazing for a girl so young.
But Plummer’s role on the show wasn’t just to showcase her own skills, she was also there to support TV presenter Dawn Porter who she has been mentoring for the last few weeks.
32 year old Dawn followed Sophie onto the stage and performed Etta James’ ‘At Last.’ Before the live show, Dawn admitted that her ears go funny when she is nervous, which didn’t bode well for the appearance.

Simon Cowell has reportedly complied a list of popular songs that this years X Factor wannabes are banned from performing.
The News Of The World reports that Simon Cowell is worried that the public will be bored by the same songs being performed repeatedly and has ordered that the contestants and mentors think outside the box when the show returns this month.
This list of forbidden songs includes Kings Of Leon ‘Sex On Fire’ and Jason Mraz ‘I’m Yours’, but noticeably misses out the classic song ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow,’ which has been performed on the live shows by Leona Lewis, Shayne Ward, Laura White and Stacey Solomon to name a few.
A source said: “This is about people’s real honesty and personality. It’s about them and their stage presence.”

Everybody ready for what promises to be a controversial results show? Cheryl and Dannii are rocking the outlandish frocks, Louis and Simon aren’t. Dermot’s giving us the run-down of tonight’s episode, and the ensemble performance is about to begin…
They’re doing Bohemian Rhapsody tonight. Ambitious! Because Rhapsody is such a long song, they’ve picked out highlights from it, which sounds a little bit like fast-forwarding through the song somewhat. It only gets really good when Brian May and Roger Taylor make their appearance. What? The guitar solo continues while Brian May’s hand is in the air. Seems the contestants aren’t the only ones miming tonight!
Still, nice to see the old dogs rocking the stage. Even if they couldn’t remember Stacey’s name…
Recap time!
Yeah, we get the usual mix of last night’s footage and backstage commentary. Makes me stand...

It's hard to describe Paolo Nutini. He's from Scotland but his name has Italian and Spanish roots, and he's ostensibly a singer-songwriter who oscillates between dour heartbreak folk and jittery soul. But he (and his eight man band the Vipers) clearly knows how to have fun, which was on display during his loose, freewheeling performance last night at New York City's Terminal 5.
Right from the opener "New Shoes," Nutini proved that no matter what the vibe of the song, his youthful energy would not be denied. It was contagious, as the crowd hung with him throughout the set, as did his gray-haired harmonica player.
"Everyone loves shoes," Nutini said following his opener. "They are vehicles for your feet." It was the first of the singer's many laugh lines in between songs.
The band mined their wide range of influences, from bluegrass ("Funky Cigarette") to the lighter-waving arena blast "Last Request,...

Here I was all set to go Elitist on the country singer Lee Greenwood, and I pulled the rug out from under myself. I shared Rachel Maddow's incredulity that the limping duck George W. Bush had appointed Greenwood to the National Council of the Arts. I even had my first two sentences written in my head: "Remember how the Bush takeover squad at the White House complained the Clintonites had unplugged all the PCs on their way out the door? As he steadfastly marches toward his own sunset, it is Bush himself who seems unplugged."
Zing! Totally unfair, but snappy, Bush had two vacancies to fill on the Nca, one for three years, one for six. Greenwood got the six-year term. He'll be the gift that keeps on giving every day during Obama's first term. The Council's job is to advise the National Endowment for the Arts on how to spend its money.

A 12-year-old opera singer is the latest act to make it through to Saturday's final of Britain's Got Talent. Soprano Faryl Smith won the public vote with her rendition of Westlife's 'Angel' in last night's semi-final. Judge Simon Cowell said: "When you enter a competition like this, you pray to find someone like you. You are literally one in a million. "Anyone hearing you for the first time tonight should remember this occasion because you have the most incredible future ahead of you. You're super-talented." The schoolgirl will be joined by Scottish plumber Andrew Muir, 24, whose performance of Paolo Nutini's 'Last Request' (more)...
