I accidentally came across this movie a while ago, watching telly late at night and battling with insomnia. It is one of those raw, brilliant movies that for some reason are unduly neglected by the audience, but it really deserves cult status. Dagmar Beiersdorf plays the prostitute Rita, her (then?) real - life partner Mustafa Iskandarani plays Hossein, an uprooted immigrant in Germany. If you ever get the chance to see this gem of a movie, I urge you to go see it.
