See it if you like a good story!

I've read the novel, from the Dutch author Guus Kuijer. It was written for kids, but it's for everyone. I compare this novel with The Little Prince from Alexander De Saint Exupery. Entertainment with a message. Well, this book is different from the movie. But also great. About this girl who want's to know more about her late grandma. Why does everyone hate her? Why will no-one tell her? The cast is great, but how could they be not? They worked all together at the tv-series about Madelief. See it if you like a good story!

what a great movie. walk down a country road to a country house. no hyperbole.

over a time of bad experiences, it's easy to become resentful and distant to our parents. but grandaughter madelief reminds us how children can show us how to love those closest to us again.

madelief never knew her grandmother but through her persistent exploration, she uncovers the heart and mind of her grandmother. though her grandmother has died, she eventually reconciles her mother to her grandmother by sharing her insights. very moving & inspiring.

editing, performances, shots, and the pace were all great. see it if you can!
