Sex & Nudity

- A man is shown wrapped in a towel over his lower half as he is reprimanded after skinny-dipping with women.
- A man subtly makes advances to a young woman by asking for a Swedish massage and lassoing her. It is evident that she does not appreciate his attention at first, but later expresses interest.
- The main character is frequently shown in his underwear, i.e., boxers and a tank top.
- A husband and wife are shown together fully clothed in a brief bed scene that is not sexual.
- A person is vaguely seen skinny dipping. Young boys watch the skinny dippers and very mildly comment on the girls. No graphic nudity.

- Bull riding scenes may be intense for some viewers, as men are at times thrown from bulls.
- Smokey forces a motorist to pull over to the side of the road and punches him in the face for confiscating his vehicle.
- Some gamblers fight with Smokey over money that he owes them. The first scene with them is rather intense. The gambler shoves Smokey's face into a sink with water in it and holds him there.
- Smokey fights with a man in a saloon. Nothing graphic is shown. Smokey is shown beat up at the end of the fight.

- A beer tent is show after the rodeo.
- Frequent drinking by the main character and his acquaintaince as he is clearly an alcoholic.
- Smokey smokes a cigar in one scene and the younger boys help light it. One boy makes a remark about smoking being against camp rules, but the others don't seem to care.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Danny is bullied and taunted by other boys at the campground. In one instance, they pull a prank involving tar or some other black substance being spilled all over him.
- The scenes with Danny suffering from cancer near the end of the movie are emotionally intense. They may be too frightening for younger viewers.
