- The film is focussed around two homosexual men. There are several male/male sex scenes with nudity. A little bit of male genitalia is shown in these scenes. A woman is shown having her photo taken fully nude. Daniel Craig's character is shown in the bath fully nude. His privates are shown.

- Most of the violence in this film is psychological. The two main characters emotionally abuse each other and this can be upsetting and disturbing. There are several boxing scenes, blood is shown spraying out of a mans mouth. The main character is somewhat obsessed by blood, gore and death. A blood covered man is often shown in dream-like form. This can be scary.

- A lot of the characters smoke and drink. A lot of the film takes place in a bar. The two main characters are borderline alcoholics. One of the main characters takes many pills and drinks them down with alcohol and dies as a result. Very upsetting scene.
