Although Kit Harington attracted all eyes on him with his prolific performance since the beginning of Game of Thrones, people can’t forget one House Stark character who set the tone for the show’s notorious unpredictability. It’s none other than the actor behind the role of Eddard “Ned” Stark, Sean Bean, who left quite an impression on the series and its fans.
Sean Bean in Game of Thrones
Despite Sean Bean’s appearance in Game of Thrones being cut short with an untimely demise at the end of season one, his impact on the series extended far beyond his character’s arc. His influence was later seen in the performances of subsequent actors, including Paddy Considine who appeared as King Viserys in the prequel series House of the Dragon.

Eponymous hero tackles a pooch-pinching operation by getting captured in this old-fashioned production
In some ways, the Lassie films are like the canine answer to the James Bond series. Both have literary antecedents, both have been big screen successes for MGM, and the basic formula remains essentially the same: a hero saves the day. The equivalent of Sean Connery is probably Pal, the rough collie dog who portrayed Lassie in seven feature films in the 1940s and 1950s. In Lassie: A New Adventure, Lassie is played by Bandit, who brings what is needed to the role, in a slick, handsome, functional way that suggests the Lassie franchise is perhaps in its Pierce Brosnan era, though unfortunately more Die Another Day doldrums than GoldenEye high point.
It bears mentioning at this point that the film is more properly titled Lassie – Ein Neues Abenteuer; this is a German production which has...

But with Craig’s final outing as Bond in “No Time to Die,” rumors have run rampant about who will take up the mantle next. Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s turn in Bullet Train has led to theories he’s going to play Bond next. But do actors who play Bond-like characters go on to actually play 007? We take a look.
At the time of writing, at least, there’s much speculation about Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his connection to the James Bond franchise. In March, a British newspaper with a big red masthead spread the rumour that the actor is secretly being lined up to play 007, taking over from Daniel Craig.
It’s a rumour so persistent that Taylor-Johnson has started to get a bit cross when ‘The Bond Question’ is brought up in interviews. When asked by an Associated Press reporter about the whole matter, Taylor-Johnson looked down at his feet, as though trying to repress some terrifying wellspring of anger, before abruptly marching off with a chirpy, “Alright, have a good one!”

Veteran star Judi Dench, who first stepped into the world of ‘James Bond’ in 1995 with ‘GoldenEye’, went down memory lane and recalled her first meeting with the “adorable” Pierce Brosnan.
Dench played the Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service known as “M” in the movie, a role she held in each of the subsequent films in the James Bond franchise, until ‘Spectre’ in 2015.
When Dench saw her co-star Brosnan on the ‘GoldenEye’ set, she couldn’t help but notice his good looks, reports people.com.
“Be still, beating heart,” she said, clasping her hands over her chest when asked about the James Bond icon.
She added: “He was just an adorable man. He was absolutely glorious to work with and as a person.”
Both Dench and Brosnan were nervous on the first day of shooting the ‘Bond’ film.

Not long ago, former James Bond actor George Lazenby, who has had the opportunity to star in a sole outing as the agent in the now-appreciated On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, threw his support behind the all-but-confirmed Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the role. Lazenby was reportedly saying to TMZ that Taylor-Johnson would be able to “handle the stunts and all the ladies who love a man in a tux.” However, he also thinks the reason for the delay in any kind of announcement is because “when he auditioned for the part back in the 1960s, he went through a bunch of different tests and auditions before he won the role.” Though, he still thinks Taylor-Johnson would make a great Bond “as long as they do the character justice.” His advice for the young lad would be “to be true to himself and reinvent the role to fit him.”

"Star Trek" is notoriously good to its actors. If a hard-working performer gets a small gig in one episode of "Star Trek," it becomes incredibly likely they'll be invited back for another. Armin Shimerman, for instance, played a talking treasure chest and a random Ferengi character on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" years before he was offered the main role of Quark on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." Likewise, Tim Russ played a terrorist on the "Next Generation" episode "Starship Mine" before he became Tuvok on "Star Trek: Voyager." There are dozens of other examples. Once you're in the "Star Trek" family, you'll be a part of it for life.

Daisy Ridley, known best as Rey in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, has had a pretty fascinating career outside of a galaxy far, far away. From narrating documentaries to failed YA sci-fi adaptations, she's certainly spread her wings. Later this year, Ridley will get the chance to lead a straight-up action flick called "Cleaner." It sounds like a riff on "Die Hard" from director Martin Campbell, who directed two of the greatest "James Bond" movies ever made. We may not even have a trailer yet, but it sounds very much like the film is going to live up to the promise of the talent involved.
The actor was on hand at this year's SXSW film festival in Austin, Texas, to promote her new movie "Magpie." During a panel, Ridley got to talking about some of her more physically demanding roles as of late, including the upcoming Disney drama "Young Woman and the Sea.

Thus, a little bit the old way of doing things, a little bit the new way of doing things.
Scheduled so far are:
4th March: Goldfinger
5th March: On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
6th March: The Spy Who Loved Me...

Make room on your conspiracy whiteboard and grab some string and push-pins from your local craft store because The Traitors is getting a Season 3 renewal! Peacock wants more of the Alan Cumming-hosted unscripted series, which bends the brains of cast members and audiences alike with a psychological mystery. The Traitors Season 3 renewal arrives mid-way through the show’s second season.
The setup for The Traitors is quite genius. The series finds a group of reality stars and celebrities playing a murder mystery game in a castle in the Scottish Highlands. With instructions from the always-fabulous Alan Cumming, the group must work together on a wealth of missions to establish a prize fund worth up to a total of $250,000. While some contestants are Faithful, others are Traitors, aiming to eliminate the Faithful and steal the prize for themselves. Under the cloak of night, the Traitors murder the Faithful one at...

There are loads of tantalizing Hollywood casting what-ifs. Tom Selleck would've played Indiana Jones had he not been previously committed to CBS' "Magnum P.I." Pierce Brosnan was set to succeed Roger Moore as James Bond after "A View to a Kill," but NBC, realizing the star of their just-canceled "Remington Steele," was a hot commodity, resurrected the show for a fifth season (after which it was canceled again). And there's always poor Dougray Scott, who had to give up the role of Wolverine in Bryan Singer's "X-Men" when "Mission: Impossible II" went over schedule.
These were franchise- and career-altering decisions. What would Harrison Ford have done after the conclusion of the "Star Wars" original trilogy in 1983? Would Brosnan have rejuvenated the flagging Bond series, thus averting the six-year retooling period between "License to Kill" and "GoldenEye?" Could Scott have connected with audiences as emphatically as Hugh Jackman did in the role of Logan?...

Scottish actor Alan Cumming says hosting the US version of The Traitors makes him feel like a “James Bond villain.”
Cumming, who previously appeared in 1995 Bond film GoldenEye, told the BBC that the show’s producers asked him to “camp it up” and portray a flamboyant character within the show. Cumming said his strong Scottish accent is “me playing Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek playing Alan Cumming.”
He said he feels like a James Bond villain when he watches on hidden screens the interaction between ‘the Faithfuls’ and ‘the Traitors’ on the hit reality TV show, and that he even volunteered to bring his own dog to set so he could be filmed stroking her menacingly, channeling 007’s famous adversary Ernst Blofeld with his cat. Cumming’s dog Lala will appear in the second season of the hit show.

When Pierce Brosnan Called The Steamy Scenes From His James Bond Films Pathetic ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
James Bond is a fictional character created by British novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. Several films are made on the fictional character, with many actors taking up the mantle. Pierce Brosnan played the role from 1995 to the early 2000s throughout four films. The movies are known to be very stylized and have steamy scenes with female actresses, but Brosnan called his intimate scenes ‘pathetic.’
The senior actor made his first appearance in the role in 1995’s Golden Eye. After him, Daniel Craig took on the role, and he has also retired from the part. Names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Idris Elba, and Henry Cavill came up in the mix for the next James Bond. Craig’s Bond movies have done really well at the box office, followed by Brosnan’s movies.

Actor Pierce Brosnan has been cited in Wyoming for allegedly walking in thermal areas of Yellowstone National Park. Court documents reveal that the citations were listed as petty offenses and included traveling by foot in prohibited areas and violating closures and use limits.
Brosnan, 70, has been ordered to appear at the Yellowstone Justice Center on January 23.
Yellowstone National Park is renowned for its hydrothermal features, such as hot springs, geysers and mud pots, and the park’s official website advises visitors to stay on designated boardwalks and trails in thermal areas due to the potential dangers. Hot springs, in particular, have caused more injuries and fatalities in Yellowstone than any other natural feature.

Irish actor and film producer Pierce Brosnan, who’s best known for playing James Bond in such memorable films as ‘Golden Eye’ and ‘The World Is Not Enough’, has been slapped with a court date in Wyoming for allegedly wandering into ‘delicate’ and dangerous protected hot springs at Yellowstone National Park, according to ‘Daily Mail’.
Brosnan stands accused of venturing off the permitted path and attempting to get a closer look at thermals in the Mammoth Terraces section.
He has been cited twice over the alleged violations on November 1, and is scheduled to appear before US Magistrate Judge Stephanie Hambrick on January 23.
Brosnan has been charged with Foot Travel in a Thermal Area and Closure Violation, according to court documents filed on Tuesday, and quoted by ‘Daily Mail’.

This year saw Marvel try their hand at the spy genre with the pale John le Carré pastiche that was "Secret Invasion." A lot went wrong with the show, to the point that it became yet another nail in what may or may not be the McU's coffin. Meanwhile, Daniel Craig's 007 has completed his transformation from a grounded, layered character to whatever he was during that divisive James Bond film "No Time To Die." "Slow Horses," on the other hand, is spying done right.
The main draw of the Apple TV+ show is undoubtedly Gary Oldman's performance as Jackson Lamb, the slovenly, sarcastic head of Slough House, home to a band of misfit screw-up sleuths banished from MI5 headquarters. Now in its third season, "Slow Horses" has benefitted hugely not just from its excellent source material — Mick Herron's "Slough House" series of novels — but from Oldman's presence.

Truth be told, this is a review I never expected to write. The Turok series has been long dormant since the Xbox 360 era and even then that wasn’t its prime. No, Turok found its footing on the Nintendo 64 in a post-Goldeneye world. An era where developers realized that first person shooters could escape the confines of the PC and reach a whole new audience with consoles. Turok stood out from the rest of the pack with its world building and use of dinosaurs as the main threat. Expansive environments combined with brutal first person combat made it a must play and yet… it never lived on into the modern generation.
Enter Nightdive Studios. A developer who cut their teeth on standard setting remasters of classic games that honor and respect the source games. Nightdive have remastered the first two entries of the Turok, bringing the series to a new...

It’s the battle of the Bond Cars this Christmas as Scalextric release a corker of a set! The Scalextric 007 DB5 vs V8 set, available exclusively online, features two of Bond’s most iconic cars and firm fan favourites, we mean of course, the Aston Martin DB5 and V8 Vantage.
Christmas was always a time for us growing up when Dad would get out the Scalextric set and set it up over the lounge floor. We can remember the sound, the distinctive smell and the fun! So the timing of this sets release couldn’t be more perfect.
We were gifted this impressive looking set for the purpose of review but in all honestly it’s really reminded our whole extended family how much we all enjoy having the Scalextrics around. You see we thought we would set it up, check it was the quality we’d expect, check the...

Who on earth would want to release a horror movie in November?! That’s like showing up to Thanksgiving dinner on a full stomach or going for a jog after a marathon. Surely, studios don’t purposefully plan to release their movie during the four weeks After the entire world is consumed with the dead, dying, maimed and dismembered, right? The calendar says spooky season is over (although you and I know differently) and as the grumpy neighbor in Halloween II says, the general audience has “been trick or treated to death” by October’s end.
On the contrary, November Horror has had some shockingly great runs over the years. And maybe there’s a method to the madness. If horror fans are lucky, October is packed tighter than a Black Friday sale at Target during a live in store Taylor Swift performance. Why not wait a couple of weeks...

What's Netflix thrown up for us this week? "Knights of the Zodiac" of course! What is that? Well, I'll be honest, I had no idea either. But I've taken a quick look-see and as it turns out, this Japanese fantasy film is proving pretty popular with Netflixers stateside.
A live-action adaptation of Masami Kurumada's manga, "Saint Seya," "Knights of the Zodiac" stars Japanese actor Mackenyu, alongside Madison Iseman and Nick Stahl. The film is also noteworthy for reuniting Sean Bean and Famke Janssen almost 30 years after they shared the screen in "GoldenEye." Co-produced by Toei and directed by "The Witcher" illustrator/producer Tomasz Tomek Bagiński, the film also features stunt and fight choreography from former Jackie Chan stunt team member and the man behind the action in Marvel's "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," Andy Cheng.
Starting to sound like it might be ok, right? Well you...

Every year the race for the Oscar for best documentary feature gets more expensive and less inclusive.
The challenging doc marketplace favors a handful of big-name filmmakers commissioned to make one-off films or docuseries. During the last two years, directors of independently made docs, especially those tackling hard-hitting social issues, have been facing an uphill battle to secure distribution.
The major streaming services, who just a few years ago were spending millions to acquire indie fare, seem to no longer be interested in garnering titles out of festivals.
There have, of course, been exceptions. Matthew Heineman’s “American Symphony” sold to Netflix immediately after the film’s Telluride premiere in September, and HBO Documentary Films/Max picked up Joe Brewster and Michèle Stephenson’s Sundance Grand Jury Prize U.S. Documentary winner “Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project” eight months after it debuted in Park City. Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson were happily married for 15 years. According to Neeson, part of the reason he was able to meet Richardson at the altar was because he turned down a film role. Neeson could have made his debut as James Bond in GoldenEye, but Richardson did not want this. He shared why he thought she didn’t want him to take the role.
Natasha Richardson did not want Liam Neeson to play James Bond
In the 1990s, Neeson fell under consideration to become the next James Bond. While he didn’t get an outright offer to star in the film, he was under consideration for the iconic role.

The Daniel Craig era of James Bond changed up the many decades-long film series in a number of different ways. Most notably was its tonal shift, steering further away from the goofier and campier elements of the series that the "Austin Powers" trilogy had so much fun lampooning. After all, once you make "Die Another Day," the only direction you can go is a more grounded one. But there had been serious James Bond films before, such as the earliest Sean Connery films or the Timothy Dalton era. The bigger change the Craig films made was taking a page out of the modern franchise booklet, and that was serialization.

The name’s Cox, Brian Cox. He’s the Emmy-nominated star of HBO’s hit show Succession and the soothing voice of McDonald’s advertisements. While Cox voices the poetic narration of eating french fries for the double arches, he is also voicing his point-of-view on the perceived antiquated nature of Ian Fleming’s 007 James Bond. Cox enters the world of the MI6 agent with his new reality competition show, 007: Road to a Million. Much like Christopher Nolan, James Bond played an important role in Brian Cox’s life and he feels passionately about the character.
BingeHulu recently reported on Cox’s recent interview with RadioTimes for the October-November issue in which Cox talks about his new show. When considering the notion of modernizing Bond for a more politically correct time, the blunt and outspoken star of Succession shared his thoughts when reflecting on Daniel Craig’s recent incarnation.

Co-winner of the Cannes 2023 Golden Eye, Kaouther Ben Hania’s Four Daughters is both compellingly crafted and deeply disturbing. Fans of the iconic British secret agent James Bond will have to wait a while to see who the next 007 will be, according to franchise producer Barbara Broccoli.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Broccoli shared that executives “haven’t even begun” modernizing the franchise, adding that there is a “big road ahead” before the James Bond character is “reinvented for the next chapter.”
Broccoli praised what Daniel Craig, who retired from the role of James Bond in 2021 after the release of “No Time to Die,” brought to the character.
“Daniel [Craig] gave us the ability to mine the emotional life of the character … and also the world was ready for it,” Broccoli said, adding that she wanted to “focus on what a 21st-century hero would look like.”
As for the character itself, it’s clear to Broccoli that James Bond exists as a product of the times.

Los Angeles, Oct 22 (Ians) The iconic action spy thriller franchise ‘James Bond’ is on a hiatus as there has been no work done post the Daniel Craig era. It is not even decided who will take up the mantle of the MI6 agent 007 after Craig left the franchise with ‘No Time To Die’, as revealed by producer Barbara Broccoli.

James Bond’s many fans will have a long wait for the next 007, it seems.
Producer Barbara Broccoli has revealed that executives haven’t even begun to map out the next chapter of the long-running franchise, which saw Daniel Craig bow out in No Time to Die two years ago.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, she said the team was aware that the character’s next incarnation will have to reflect how the world has changed in the 20 years since Craig took on the role.
She said: “I think these movies reflect the time they are in, and there’s a big, big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter and we haven’t even begun with that.”
Broccoli told The Guardian the character could be reinvented, as he had been in the past:

James Bond being recast is a long way off yet.Barbra Broccoli, who runs the money-spinning 007 franchise with her half-brother Michael G. Wilson, has admitted there is a "big, big road ahead reinventing" the iconic role of the suave spy after Daniel Craig's Bond died in his final outing, 2021's 'No Time To Die'.Speaking to The Guardian, she said: “I go back to [1995’s] 'GoldenEye' when everyone was saying ‘the cold war is over, the wall is over. “Bond is dead, no need for Bond, the whole world’s at peace, and now there’s no villains’ – and boy, was that wrong!”This is despite many actors having been tipped to portray the MI6 secret agent, including Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Rege-Jean Page and Cillian Murphy, to name a few.Broccoli added: “Daniel gave us the ability to mine the emotional life of the character … and...

Of all the James Bond movies, "Die Another Day" is perhaps the most detested. Maybe you think it's an underrated Bond film deserving of more respect, but the prevailing view of this early 2000s outing is that of a truly shameful blunder in the canon. Of course, perspectives shift over time. At one point, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was treated with similar derision to "Die Another Day," and now George Lazenby's only outing in the tux is viewed as one of the best in Bond's 60-year on-screen run. But there's something about "Die Another Day" that I can't help but feel will forever keep it from achieving the same respect.
The ice palaces, invisible cars, and Korean colonels using plastic surgery to transform into insufferable British toffs, are all beyond ridiculous. But they're funny, and Bond has been funny and lighthearted at various points throughout his career to great effect.

It’s likely going to be some time before fans know who’s taking over for Daniel Craig as the next 007.
Franchise producer Barbara Broccoli told The Guardian, in an interview published online Saturday, there is a “big road ahead” before the iconic character is “reinvented for the next chapter.” She added that executives also “haven’t even begun” to modernize the franchise yet.
Broccoli, who helms the film series with her half-brother Michael G. Wilson, explained that it’s important for the next installment to depict the way the world has changed since Craig took on the role of James Bond in 2006. But this is nothing new, as the producer noted that 007 has typically been reinvented and modernized over the decades.
