Beautiful scenery, shame about the film
tarlan16 November 2000
This was a film with a lot of potential; great plot, wonderful location and the additional interest of dealing with both the Cree and Metis cultures. Such a shame that it came across as very stilted with most of the drama lost through too deliberate a presentation.

Michael Biehn showed his true professionalism, managing to smooth - and steal - any scene in which he appeared, giving his character a wonderful three-dimensional feel. Unfortunately, this made the rest of the cast appear even more wooden through the direct comparison.

This is definitely a film for only the Michael Biehn die-hards and those interested in seeing some great snow scenery.

Potentially a great story

Being a fan of Michael Biehn's work, I really wanted to like this movie. The story line has a huge amount of potential, a mysterious hooded killer stalking a beautiful woman, set in the snow covered Canadian wilderness. But it ultimately fails to deliver any real shocks or nail biting moments, despite Biehn and Alexandera Vandernoot's best efforts, the supporting cast (who appear to be dubbed) are terminally wooden. This movie does have it's moments, when Biehn's character tricks his way into Vandernoot's isolated log cabin, but overall this is one for die-hard Michael Biehn fans only.
