“We’re very happy to be partnering with the team at Dark Sky who know and love the power of genre cinema like we do,” said the Bloomquist brothers. “As the chaos of modern politics rages, The Founder is primed and ready to be unleashed on American audiences.”

Every show with a will-they-or-won't-they romance inevitably faces the question: should we try and make our characters work as a couple for real? Or do we just keep pretending that Cory and Topanga aren't stuck in a toxic loop and Cory wouldn't be much happier with Shawn? Or that Cory, Topanga, Shawn, and Angela should just end the charade already and enter a polyamorous relationship? I have a lot of thoughts on "Boy Meets World," that's what I'm really saying.
So it was when "Bones" reached what would only end up being the halfway point of its 12-season run. By that time, creator Hart Hanson knew he couldn't pull another fakeout, what with "Bones" fans still fuming from Booth (David Boreanaz) hallucinating that he and Bones (Emily Deschanel) had finally done the horizontal mambo at the end of season 4. Instead, Hanson and his fellow creatives decided it was time for...

Baywatch star Nicole Eggert has shared a video in which she shaves her head, as she continues to be treated for a “very rare form” of breast cancer.
The actress, who played Summer Quinn on Baywatch from 1992 to 1994, posted the video to Instagram earlier this week. As she took the blades to her hair, the Beastie Boys’ song Fight For Your Right provided the soundtrack. She started the process herself, and was helped by her daughter to finish off.
Eggert shared in January that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma after suffering with pain in her left breast.
She accompanied the shaving video with the words:
“Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eames.”
Celebrities including Alyssa Milano and Jennie Garth expressed their support in the comments section of Eggert’s post.

Did you grow up on Magical World of Disney and Disney Channel Original Movies (Dcom)? Then Will Friedle and Sabrina Bryan’s new podcast Magical Rewind is a welcome trip down memory lane. He also hosts the popular “Pod Meets World” and “I Hear Voices” with fellow Kim Possible co-star Christy Carlson Romano. Sabrina Bryan gained worldwide fame through Disney’s The Cheetah Girls movies and as a fan favorite on Dancing with the Stars. It’s happened before, and it will happen again. Sometimes, a movie plays a film fest, gets picked up by a studio, and is changed. It looks like that’s exactly what happened to Boy Kills World, a movie I saw (and enjoyed) at TIFF’s Midnight Madness. The official trailer dropped today, and I’m thrilled the film is getting a full-on theatrical release courtesy of Lionsgate and Roadhouse Attractions.
However, Boy Kills World won’t be released the way I saw it at TIFF.
As soon as I started watching the trailer, it seemed different to me, as in the cut that I saw; the entire movie was narrated by Bill Skarsgard’s “Boy” character (who is deaf and mute) via his interior monologue. In the version I saw, Skarsgard seemed to be doing the voice. The hook is that Boy’s inner monologue is based on the last voice he heard,...

Coming across as a deranged mash-up of John Wick, Silent Night, The Hunger Games and… Bob's Burgers? (more on that in a moment), we were already anticipating German director Moritz Mohr's bloody and bizarre Boy Meets World. The trailer for the film just increases that feeling…
The titular "Boy" here is played by Bill Skarsgård, who as a youngster was left orphaned, deaf and mute in a post-apocalyptic world by a cruel ruling family who quell resistance to their rule by culling dissidents annually.
Trained by a mysterious shaman Yayan Ruhian in martial arts and weapons use, he becomes an instrument of vengeance, employing his skills to take down those who wronged him, teaming up with a resistance group at the same time. Oh, and did we mention he also sometimes bickers with the ghost of his rebellious younger sister?
His inner voice, meanwhile, comes courtesy of Bob's star H.

“Pod Meets World” took a break from recapping “Boy Meets World” with their latest episode.
During the Feb. 19 podcast, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle were joined by family therapist Kati Morton for an important discussion around Brian Peck, a Season 5 guest star on “Boy Meets World.” Per the episode’s official description, the group talks about “the difficult subjects of grooming, childhood sexual abuse and their effects on victims.”
The episode began with Fishel explaining that since they all agreed to be open and honest, even when uncomfortable, about their experiences, the story of Peck was one they felt necessary to share. Additionally, she noted that Friedle and Strong were recently contacted for a statement about Peck. While she didn’t explain why, that is likely because Peck is part of the upcoming “Quiet on Set” docuseries that looks at past alleged abuse that occurred on multiple Nickelodeon sets.

The Hollywood labor community is up in arms again after the Directors Guild of America (DGA) made a number of retroactive additions to its film & TV contract with the studios.
The deal, which was revealed yesterday and gives directors a streaming performance bonus that matches that of the writers, has sown more discontent across town.
Sources tell Deadline that other guild leadership was blindsided by the move, which came more than six months after the DGA struck its original deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).
It also would have required both parties to agree to return to the bargaining table, a move that was kept incredibly quiet.
But sources on the studio side indicate this shouldn’t come as a shock to the rest of the labor community.
“I’m surprised anyone is surprised about this,” one studio executive told Deadline of the new provisions.

Nothing defined New Hollywood quite like "The Graduate," and for very good reason. The film was chock full of innovation, from the salacious script to the ground-breaking cinematography, but the movie might be best remembered for its incredible cast. The coming-of-age classic features career-defining performances from Anne Bancroft, already a huge star at the time, and Dustin Hoffman, the best actor ever, in one of the first major roles of his long and storied career.
The 1967 film follows Ben, a recent college graduate (as the film's title implies) with an uncertain future and a community of expectant WASPs to answer to. The alien invasion comedy Hillbillies vs. Alien Chickens has taken home the top prize in this year’s Horror2Comic Contest.
The script from Nicholas Tana is described as a twist on the alien invasion genre, and centers on a vegan hillbilly who must team with a government agent to combat invading alien chickens.
Winning scripts in the Horror2Comic contest are made into comic books, and in turn are put into development as a feature or a TV show via Motor Content, the company whose credits include History’s Knightfall and the Michael Keaton feature The Founder. The contest has its origins as an offshoot of Script2Comic, which focuses on all genres, not just horror.
Scout Comics published last year’s Horror2Comic winner, She Bites, a story centering on a 134-year-old vampire trapped in the body of a 9-year-old girl.

Singer Sabrina Carpenter was seen out on a date with Irish actor Barry Keoghan just a week after her music video led to a scandal in the Catholic Church.
The Diocese of Brooklyn was horrified at the music video Carpenter filmed in a 160-year-old Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Released in time for Halloween, the bloody music video to the single “Feather” was directed by Mia Barnes and begins with interior shots of the 19th-century Catholic Church. Through the song, the camera follows Carpenter around as men harass her – and are met with instant karma.
As Carpenter sings lyrics like, “I feel so much lighter like a feather with you off my mind,” cat-callers are run over by a truck, gym bros fight each other to the death and a creepy photographer dies in an elevator shaft.
In the end, Carpenter dances around the church in a short black dress,...
