The 2019-2020 broadcast season will be here before we know it, and the schedule for the season has several compelling match ups to offer.
The final seasons of multiple shows will bow this fall, while several freshman shows will find themselves facing stiff competition in their timeslots. Likewise, some returning shows have been shuffled to slots that do not portend well for their futures.
Check out the full schedule below.
NBC’s new legal drama “Bluff City Law” is getting the choice post-“Voice” timeslot, putting it up against ABC powerhouse “The Good Doctor” and CBS’ own legal drama, “Bull.” “Bull” has seen steep declines in its ratings during its third season, however, with the accusations of sexual misconduct against series lead Michael Weatherly not helping matters.
Fox will use its hit drama “9-1-1” to launch the serial killer profiler drama “Prodigal Son.” CBS will then use returning comedy “The Neighborhood...

Upfronts week always revolves around big reveals and highly anticipated first looks. This year, one of the most talked-about contenders to emerge was not a show but a studio.
The newly minted Disney Television Studios made a splashy debut as three of the industry’s large production entities – 20th Century Fox Television, ABC Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios – have come together under one roof following Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox.
The mantra on the Century City and Burbank lots is collaboration and cross-pollination of talent. The three companies will continue to be run with autonomy as distinct labels under the Disney Television Studios umbrella. But there is a clear expectation that the labels will share resources and information as warranted to support the larger cause of feeding successful shows to Disney’s suite of platforms.
Executives at the DTS studios have spent the past few weeks on a whirlwind get-to-know-your-colleagues tour.

Yikes! Anna Camp and Skylar Astin just barely avoided a potentially awkward run-in when they both stepped out for the NBC Upfronts in NYC on Monday. Both Anna and Skylar were on hand to promote their new shows, Perfect Harmony and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, respectively, and apparently, they almost ran into each other on the red carpet.
According to Us Weekly, the exes hit the red carpet within minutes of each other. "It's not a big room so it's interesting their shows would come to the five-hour long carpet at the same time," a source told the outlet. "He did photos then went off with the rest of his cast." While it didn't look like Anna and Skylar were going out of their way to avoid each other, it was reportedly "still kind of strange." Anna was there with actor Bradley Whitford, while Skylar was joined by Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.

It’s April, and Deadline is launching its annual Pilot Panic feature where we track buzz on the broadcast pilots as they go through production and and testing. We are late out of the gate this year, but that’s understandable — it’s been an extraordinary time of upheaval in the business, with 13,000 writers on Friday told by the WGA to fire their agents after the guild and the Ata could not reach a new franchise agreement.
The 2019 broadcast pilot season has been completely overshadowed by the WGA-ata battle. Still, handicapping broadcast pilots is a Deadline tradition, so let’s get to it. As usual, the first story is very sketchy and preliminary as many pilots are still in production and very few have been delivered. Here is a list of some pilots that are getting strong early buzz based on a combination of auspices, script, table read, taping or dailies.

Jason Winer and his Small Dog Picture Company have signed a new, multi-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television.
Under the deal, Winer will develop, executive produce and direct projects for all platforms. In addition to directing projects he develops, the deal also contemplates him potentially directing those he does not develop personally, as well as doing some episodic directing as opportunities arise.
“20th has been my creative home since they bought my very first short film over thirteen years ago,” Winer said. “I’m so thrilled to be extending that relationship another three years and expanding my company with Jon Radler, especially during a time of such exciting change and opportunity. I’m deeply grateful to Peter Rice, Dana Walden, Jonnie Davis and Howard Kurtzman for the belief they showed in me way back when, the support they’ve given me over the years, and the passion they...

Prolific TV director and producer Jason Winer has re-upped his overall deal at his longtime studios home, 20th Century Fox TV, where he has been for a decade and a half. I hear the new pact is for three years and is valued in the eight figures, among the biggest for a director/producer.
Under the new agreement, Winer will continue to develop, executive produce and direct series projects for all platforms through his Small Dog Picture Company. In addition to directing projects he develops, the deal also allows for Winer to helm other pilots for the studio, along with some additional episodic directing.

The Goonies celebrates its 30th birthday today, and even after all these years we still adore this '80s classic.
Rumours have been swirling for some time about a Goonies 2 (make it happen, Hollywood!) with all the original cast returning, so with this in mind we take a trip down memory lane to find out what the stars of the cult classic are doing now.
Sean Astin
Sean Astin played the slightly dorky yet bright, braces-clad Mikey - who attempts to leads his fellow adventurers to One-Eyed Willy's hidden fortune upon his discovery of an old treasure map.
The 44-year-old actor has continued to enjoy movie success with his role as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Joss Whedon’s cult hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer has always had a relationship with comics, which is not surprising, given the fantastical nature of the series and its universe, and the manner in which the TV show effortlessly switched genres – sometimes even in the span of a single scene. But another reason why Buffy and comics go together so well is that Buffy Summers is essentially a superhero, and her adventures are not entirely unlike what one would find in a Marvel or DC universe comic book.
Realistically, of course, not all Buffyverse (the universe in which Buffy and spin-off Angel both belong) comics are good.

Smart girl. And the 27-year-old star, who confesses to constantly songwriting, already has a long list of artists she'd love to work with after recently collaborating...

There’s no number to text your vote for Coke and Ford, but the brands have fused themselves to Fox’s pop star machine. Here’s how.

[The following contains some spoilers from last night's episode of Grey's Anatomy.]
It turns out that rumors of a Callie-Arizona wedding on Grey’s Anatomy have not been greatly exaggerated.

With Callie’s life-and-death crisis — as well as the fate of her prematurely birthed baby — happily resolved in Thursday’s musical episode, TVLine can confirm that the star-crossed lesbian lovers will walk down the aisle in the episode airing May 5.
The duo’s big day, however, will not be without its drama. And two conspicuous absences at the ceremony can’t help but make us wonder if a second couple is off sealing their own deal.

Achievement and trophy hunters the world over are breathing a sigh of relief over what appears to be the official list for "Assassin's Creed 2." The first game featured some of the most infuriating achievements, requiring you to hunt down hundreds of worthless flags and evil Templars. This time around it appears the achievements are more story related and manageable, with just one collect-a-thon in the form of missing feathers.
I was concerned about these feathers in particular, but unlike the flags of the first game, you'll be able to purchase in-game maps which will reveal the location of said feathers. All in all it should be a pretty manageable 1000 gamescore/platinum trophy for those so inclined.
* Master Assassin - Unlock All Trophies (Platinum)
* The Birth of an Assassin - Be reborn as Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. (Bronze, 20G)
* Arrivederci Abstergo - Break out of Abstergo. (Bronze, 20G)
* Welcome to the...

Much has been made of the arrest last week of 44 public and religious officials around New Jersey and New York, in a massive corruption bust that came after a two-year federal investigation. The feds charged three mayors, five rabbis and dozens of other local officials with crimes including bribery, money laundering, extortion, conspiracy, and trafficking in human organs and fake handbags. But while people are busy expressing shock at the discovery that New Jersey has a corruption problem, it seems the most striking aspect of this story has been largely ignored. There is a silver lining here. This enterprise required a great deal of cooperation between an extraordinarily diverse group of people. A merry band of walking stereotypes worked together, in perfect harmony, and remains together, united by their depravity. Indeed, the string of perp walks last week turned Newark’s federal courthouse into a veritable Noah's Ark of criminal archetypes.
