How an Indecisive Cast Led to 20+ Years of Development Hell
Earlier this week, I wrote an open letter to those Ghostbusters fans staunchly opposed to the new film. My goal in doing so was to try and take a toxic conversation and find some middle ground between the two sides. While there are certainly people who truly hate the concept of an all-female Ghostbusters remake for purely sexist reasons, my gut tells me that there are also people who have suffered through decades of Ghostbusters production rumors only to find that their long-awaited sequel was never going to happen.
And partially in good faith — and partially out of curiosity — I figured now might be a good time to remind younger readers of just how messy the whole Ghostbusters III debacle truly got. What follows is not the full transcript of all media references to Ghostbusters III, but an abridged version of they key players and key quotes...

[This recap of Friday (October 3) night's "The Amazing Race" may be a bit rushed. I've got some Yom Kippur atoning to do. But I still want to do some honor to a decent enough Leg.] As you may have heard from a unshaven, drunk, pot-belled WWII era manager, there is no crying in baseball. Nobody has ever made the same claim about "The Amazing Race." In actuality, there's a lot of crying on "The Amazing Race." And I'm not entirely without understanding. Let's say you're an "Amazing Race" superfan and you've actually taken the time to study Race strategy and accumulate some of the skills that normally pay dividends and then you find yourself actually on "The Amazing Race" and in only your second Leg, you find yourself falling victim to a semi-unavoidable combination of current and lack of upper-body strength? Tonight's episode ,kicked off with the teams, learning they had to fly to London,England to get their first clue for this leg of the race. Once they got the clue, they ran into their detours: "About Face" or "Pancake Race." In the "About Face" detour, the teams had to learn special soldier steps and perform them correctly to get their next clue. In the "Pancake Race" detour, the teams had to make a perfect pancake and continuously flip their flapjacks without dropping them while they ran a lap to completion within a minute and 15 seconds to get their next clue. After finishing up their detours, the teams had to travel by train to Oxford to get their next clue. Once there, they had to complete a Drop and Punt challenge where they had to row a punting boat for one lap around a huge estate to get their next clue.

Chicago – The world is full of living components that express the similarities in our differences, and actress Fawzia Mirza is the embodiment of us all coming together. The self described South-Asian-Muslim-American woman has been a force on the Chicago acting scene for years, and recently broke out with a role in the high profile stage play “Brahman/i,” by Aditi Brennan Kapil, which premiered in Chicago on March 27th. The play was recently extended to May 4th.
We first met Fawzia Mirza on HollywoodChicago.com when her short film “Queen of My Dreams” was in competition at the Chicago International Film Festival. Since then, she has starred for two seasons in a web series – which she co-produced with her creative partner Ryan Logan – called “Kam Kardashian,” in which she portrayed the title character, the long lost “black sheep” sister of the famous brood.
