The Madhuri Dixit-Sanjay Kapoor starrer "Raja" released 26 years ago on this day. Recalling memories of his first day at shoot with Madhuri, Sanjay said he never felt like he was working with a superstar.
The songs of the film became popular on release, and Sanjay recalled the shoot of the title song, "Kisi din banungi main raja ki rani, zara phir se kehna" in Ooty. The song was filmed on Madhuri and him.

Vijayta Pundit who lost her composer husband Aadesh Shrivastav to cancer earlier this year is all set to return to acting. Vijayta who made her acting debut in 1981 with Rahul Rawail's Love Story opposite Kumar Gaurav was a rage after the film's spectacular success. She went on to do some highly successful films like Mohabbat with Anil Kapoor and the Bangla blockbuster Amar Sangi with Prosenjeet Chatterjee. In 1990 she quit acting to concentrate on being a home-maker. Now with her husband's unexpected demise Vijayta is looking at reviving her acting career. Sighing and still in mourning Vijayta says, "I've begun to feel the burden of my loneliness only now. When Aadesh died all our family and friends were here to support me. Then they all returned to their lives. My two sons are also busy with their own lives. The elder one Avinesh is preparing for an acting career.

Chennai, Jan 25: Veteran Telugu director Bapu aka Lakshmi Narayana Sathiraju has been named for Padma Shri on the eve of 64th Republic Day.
The 79-year-old, commonly known by the name Bapu in the industry, debuted as a director with 1967 Telugu film "Sakshi", which featured Telugu superstar Krishna.
In a career spanning over four decades, he has directed many Telugu films such as "Pelli Pusthakam", "Mr. Pellam", "Muthyala Muggu" and "Sri Ramarajyam".
Five of his Telugu films have won National Awards.
He made films in Hindi too - "Woh Saat Din", "Mohabbat" and "Pyaari Behna" among many more.
