- The Region 1, Shriek Show (Media-Blasters) DVD is uncut at 92 minutes long.
- The original UK cinema release was heavily cut by the BBFC to remove graphic scenes of gore and violence. For its 1987 video release the film had been extensively pre-cut by the distributors before submission, removing 5 mins 42 secs of footage. The cuts included all footage of cannibalism, explicit rape scenes, the castration of a native man, and a man's ear being severed. The print used also replaced many of the nude scenes with alternative clothed footage. The animal violence was also cut including a snake killing a monkey, scenes of a snake fighting a mongoose and a bird, and the mutilations of a crocodile and an iguana. The BBFC made an additional 1 sec cut to remove the penetration of the crocodile's head with a knife. This same print was used for the later Vipco releases.
- The original, and later banned Swedish Video release titled "Omänsklig fasa" had a 20 year self-applied rating, and yet it was cut.
- German version was heavily cut for violence to avoid confiscation, but nonetheless was not only put on the index list but later got banned entirely. Only in 2021 was the banishment lifted, and also eventually delisted from the BPjM index list two years later. A new FSK rating test awaits for the uncut version in Germany.
- The EC-Entertainment Laserdisc is uncut.
