Released on the same year as The Concorde... Airport '79 (1979), which also featured Robert Kerman as an air traffic controller.
After working with him in this movie, Ruggero Deodato offered Robert Kerman the main role in Cannibal Holocaust (1980). Years later, he said that if he had know that Kerman was a porn actor, he wouldn't have hired him. Ironically, Jake Teague, one of the actors who appears with Kerman as a traffic air controller, was also a porn actor.
Fiamma Maglione was producer Mino Loy's wife. According to director Ruggero Deodato, she had a sexual affair on set with Ottaviano Dell'Acqua. "We were doing a film and on the first day of shooting I went up to him, took him aside and told him, 'Listen, Ottaviano, the lead actress is the producer's fiancée. Just leave her alone, OK? Ignore this one. Pick some other girl.' 'No worries Ruggero! I won't even look at her!' He fucked her that same night," Deodato said.
