Trivia:
According to interviews, Patricia Quinn (Magenta) only took the role in the play because she loved the opening song "Science Fiction - Double Feature." She was upset when she didn't get to sing the song in the film, but agreed to lip-sync the words as the pair of red lips in the beginning with vocals by Richard O'Brien (Riff Raff) moreGoofs:
Miscellaneous: During "Hot Patootie," when Frank-N-Furter is supposed to be violently upset with Eddie, he is seen dancing to the song in certain distant shots. moreQuotes:
Frank: Oh, I just love success!Riff Raff: He's a credit to your genius, Master.
Frank: Yes!
Magenta: A triumph of your will.
Frank: Yes!
Columbia: He's OK!
Frank: OK? OK? I think we can do better than that! Well Brad and Janet, what do you think of him?
Janet: Well, I don't like men with too many muscles.
Frank: I didn't make him for you!... He carries the Charles Atlas seal of approval.

I absolutely adore this film, it's so mad, glitzy, camp and crazy that I never tire of it. Granted it's not for everyone, and you need a sense of humour and fun to fully appreciate it, but one you get into it, it's just perfect. The songs are timeless, the cast is sublime and the whole film is in a class of it's own. One thing I do love is the way the film doesn't take itself too seriously, it sends up all those cheesy science fiction films and musicals of the past and never stops for breath. Of course, the film's main draw is the outstanding Tim Curry as Frank-N-Furter. His performance is dazzling and I doubt he'll ever be able to top this. Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick are excellent in thankless roles, and the rest of the supporting cast (Patricia Quinn and Little Nell especially) are all perfect in their different and crazy roles. It's always puzzled me how the film hasn't managed to date, it still looks and sounds as fresh as ever. I'm sure I'm not the only one surprised by the ending too! Rocky Horror is perfect for a fun and sultry night in, so whip out your fishnets and do the timewarp. Go on, you know you want to, your not fooling anyone!
