Toilet breaks, vampires, presidents and country albums: what do you want to ask the actor and musician about?
There’s plenty to ask the man who Donald Sutherland calls “son”. He’s British for starters – born in 1966 in St Mary’s hospital in Paddington. He’s named after American director Warren Kiefer, who directed Donald Sutherland in 1964’s horror Castle of the Living Dead, and grew up with his mother in Canada alongside his twin sister, who looks spookily similar if you care to Google her.
Sutherland’s film career has spanned nearly 40 years. He made his debut in 1983 comedy drama Max Dugan Returns with Donald Sutherland and Matthew Broderick. He soon became one of the names associated with the Brat Pack – the group of young Hollywood actors who frequently appeared together in 80s coming-of-age films. He played the bully, Ace, in 1986’s Stand By Me with River Phoenix, Corey Feldman,...

Get Ready for Halloween with Some Vintage Horror on Turner Classic Movies this September and October
I don’t know about you, but this writer is more than ready to start looking forward to the Halloween season. And one of the staples of my own ongoing cinematic celebration every year is checking out all the wonderful classic horror movies that Turner Classic Movies airs on their channel. And considering the mess that 2020 has been over the last several months, I thought this year it might be helpful to also include all the genre films that will be playing on TCM throughout the month of September, as it’s never too early to get ready for Halloween.
Check out all the great classic horror movies playing on the small screen over the next two months on TCM, and be sure to set those DVRs so you don’t miss any of the classic films that are sure to get you into the Halloween spirit this year.

Happy Tuesday the 13th! This week’s home entertainment releases are an eclectic bunch but we’ve got a lot of fun titles to look forward to including two sci-fi classics- At the Earth’s Core and Supernova- as well several recent indie titles including Honeymoon and Jessabelle.
Spotlight Titles:
At the Earth’s Core (Kino Lorber, Blu-ray)
They’re in it Deep now! Murderous monsters, scantily clad prehistoric playmates and telepathic pterodactyls inhabit the center of our world in this colorful fantasy-adventure about a manned “drill-craft” boring its way to the center of the Earth! Starring sci-fi superstars Doug McClure (The Land That Time Forgot), Peter Cushing (Nothing But the Night) and Caroline Munro (Maniac), this subterranean chiller is the most endearingly whimsical entertainment on – or under – the planet’s surface! There’s more than lava at the Earth’s core. There’s also Pellucidar: an underground empire...

Christopher Lee Halloween! week concludes at Trailer from Hell with director and Tfh creator Joe Dante introducing "Nothing But the Night," one of the least-seen Lee-Cushing vehicles. Perhaps the least seen of the Christopher Lee/Peter Cushing vehicles, this was intended to inaugurate a series of classy suspense-horror films from Lee's newly-formed Charlemagne Productions, but its critical and commercial fizzle put an end to the company's plans. The concept had potential, but it just doesn't come together.
