Great Saturday Morning Cartoon Show
careysmail546 December 2016
This was one of the better cartoon shows to join the Saturday morning line-up of the now classic Saturday Morning Cartoons. If you didn't enjoy this era of the cartoons you cannot possibly give a proper review of any of them. I for one found this particular show to be quite a refreshing change. It seemed to poke a little fun at some of the other weekly shows including those scheduled during weekly prime time. Even in so doing they managed to maintain for the most part a simple and innocent story-line for children so as not to lose their attention or understanding. When this show debuted I was 12 years of age and beginning to outgrow the Saturday morning line-up. Because it was so different and maintaining an innocence it caught my attention and became the one Saturday Morning cartoons that I looked forward to. Being a 12 year old male at the time and soon to turn 13 I had to try to enjoy this show in secret and with an 11 year old brother that was hard to do at times. Off the beaten path but still quite cute and entertaining I highly recommend it and hope you don't find my taste to far off 'the beaten path'.

This "Milton the Monster" cartoon entry was enough for my curiosity...
tavm30 October 2008
Being a frequent seeker on the Saturday Morning Blog, I discovered this '60s television cartoon series there in their Halloween sites. The episode shown was called "The Hearse Thief" which concerns Prof. Weirdo and Count Kook's searching for the one who stole their funeral car. Milton is the chief suspect since they found him driving it without permission. With the standard limited animation of this era, the movements were very stilted so that's one minus here. Then there's the lame jokes so another minus. And finally, the characterizations were beyond dull for me so that's one more strike for me. They're out concerning whatever interest I initially had in seeing this rare showing of this forgotten cartoon series. So with that, I'm giving "Milton the Monster" 1 star...
