Just after the scene where the boy is turned away from boarding the bus, he is seen running off with the balloon in his left hand and the satchel in his right; however, in the next shot it is reversed.
The boy comes up to the front window of a bakery shop and peers in, eyeing the display of bakery goods. Then the camera position changes so that the boy is seen from the inside of the bakery, but from the inside looking out, the selection and arrangement of displayed items is quite different than what had been seen from the outside view.
The bus Pascal gets on has red advertisements at the rear for Chantelle. The bus he gets off has yellow/green advertisements for Excel.
When Pascal enters the school, the balloon enter through an open window. One hears all the children inside shouting when this happens. As the man opens the door to follow in, cheering continues. As he closes the door, the cheering stops but should still be heard, as the window is still open.
For a brief instant, a wire can be seen attached to the red balloon as the boy waits to cross the street. The wire stands out against the blue coat of the man standing behind him looking on as the boy waits for the intersection to clear.
When Pascal captures the balloon over the wall, it's unclear why the pursuing boys climb over the wall rather than use the door they used to enter.
When the gang of boys take the red balloon, it's unclear why they've attached an additional, longer string to it, or where they obtained this string.
