- This film is pretty violent for the time and violence is presented realistically albeit being not too graphic.

- Two young men fight with switchblades and stab each other with them. In a later scene, the resulting wounds can be seen through a character's shirt.

- At the end of the film Plato is shot and killed by a police officer Very intense and sad.

- The scene where Plato dies is very intense especially for a film released in 1955.
