Trivia:
In 2004, Joan Collins made a well-publicized stint as Alexandra Spaulding, the third actress to play the role, but was soon replaced by Marj Dusay, the second actress to play Alex after the first, Beverlee McKinsey, played her for seven years. Collins wanted to schedule her filming around her book promotion tour, but producers wanted Collins full-time. Collins playing Alexandra had a bit of soap opera irony: Alexis Carrington, the nasty character that made her famous on DYNASTY, was modeled after Iris Carrington, the nasty daytime character that made Beverlee McKinsey famous. moreQuotes:
A.C. Mallet: Hey, partner, how is it going, man?Gus Aitoro: Hey, I've been looking for you. You need to come with me. You've got to help me.
A.C. Mallet: What's the problem?
Gus Aitoro: The problem is you.
A.C. Mallet: [Locks Gus in a jail cell] And now the problem is fixed.
Gus Aitoro: Open the door.
A.C. Mallet: So what did you tell Harley?
Gus Aitoro: Open the door. If you don't open the door, I'm going to beat you senseless.
A.C. Mallet: What was the plan, go down to the courthouse and slip into the hearing room, and then you're going to shoot him in the head in the alleyway?
Gus Aitoro: We are not talking about a sane man.

Ah, yes. I can remember when I was in high school. The first thing I would do my junior and senior year when I got home was turn on the TV and watch this classic soap opera. From that moment on, I was hooked on it. In addition, I also enjoyed the days when Signy Coleman (Annie Dutton) was on the show. Ever since Saundra Santiago (Carmen Santos) left the show in 2002, I haven't been watching it as much. If you ask me, she was absolutely diabolical. You'd have to have seen the show between 1999 and 2002 if you want to know why. However, this is still a good soap opera. In conclusion, I highly recommend this classic soap opera to all you die-hard CBS fans.
