The same set seen here as the lagoon where Bomba and Judy go swimming would later be used as the principal locale for the classic TV series Gilligan's Island.
To make Bomba more of a Tarzan clone, shots were made of Bomba swinging on vines.
Veteran serial director Ford Beebe made numerous shots of Bomba (Johnny Sheffield) swinging on vines. Some shots would be simply reprinted in later films while others could be simply edited into the later features thereby saving time and cost of redoing those setups.
This was the second of the dozen Bomba movies produced by Poverty Row studio Monogram Pictures between 1949 and 1955.
To appease the Production Code, Bomba wears form fitting black bikini underwear underneath his loincloth, which saves him from costume failure during the windstorm and panther brawl, but which, if you think about it, which you shouldn't, makes the loincloth itself superfluous.
