This is the debut of Kieran Moore, star of many films of the fifties and sixties. He married his co star Barbara White.
The film at times reminded me of The Informer. As Moore is literally dogged by his conscience in the form of the victims dog.
As in The Informer Moore goes to a church to sort out his conscience as his brother is going to be charged with the murder. Finally he gives into his own conscience and we see him going into the police station, presumably to confess.
The copy shown by Talking Pictures was a forty six minute cutdown of an original seventy four minute original. A narration has been used to paper over the cracks.
