The telegram Chesty receives from Dorothy, asking him to see him that night, is dated May 13, but his court martial for going AWOL after getting the telegram gives the date of the offense as April 2. Also, the USS Arizona is ordered to go on battle maneuvers on June 14 (at "10am" rather than the standard Navy time expression, "1000 hours"), but when Chesty is decorated for valor during the maneuvers, the date is give as "9 July."
The DESPATCH Biff receives informing him of the departure date and time for the USS Arizona has the time as "10 AM". Any USN dispatches would reference the 24-hour clock, thus the time listed would have been "10 hundred hours".
As Chesty and Droopy are walking after the flag-raising ceremony at San Diego, they walk through a clear shadow of the boom microphone.
Biff assigns Chesty to the, "fo'c's'le watch from 8 to 12". Correct phrase should have been, "fo'c's'le watch, from 2000 to 0000". Or, "The First Watch", but always with reference to the 24-hour clock.
