Farmers Hildegard and Egon bear the same family name as Bruno but are not related; after a relational fight, Egon decides to go back home which would be 21 miles walking through the freezing cold. As Hilde expected, he comes back. Theater starlet Helmut and his slavish wife Michi check in, and also semi-professional soccer player Roland and his fiancee Conny who is absolute not a soccer fan. This engaged pair gets an argument when Roland insists on his training outside instead of paying Conny attention this night. Later she has to bring half-frozen Roland back in. The also engaged couple Christine and Jörg get a fight as well. Shortly after she went home, she comes back regretting having left Jörg alone in the hotel. When Helmut sees that the Kropfmann Brothers Tom and Jerry make excellent music, Bruno brings them together and gives them a repetition room where they can prepare a show for tonight. The New Year's Eve party begins with a song performed by Theresa. Tina, daughter of hoteliers Bruno and Anna, gets a lot of attention from the men. Bruno announces to the gathered guests that the mystery artist unfortunately can't come. Will the year still end in festivity?
- Christmas Eve in the log cabin of Dominik and Severin in the Bavarian Alps. Tourist Bruno wants maid Michaela to marry him until his fiancee Tina enters. Peter and highly pregnant Lucia come for a roof above their head.

Event manager Peter Buchner checks in; he has a party theme idea and gathers members of the hotel staff around him to implement it. Caro, Trude and Sissi go on strike because hotelier Max treats his personnel without respect. Now Max does all their work alone. Horse-riding teacher Michi bumps his head when he meets his dream woman. Later he discovers that she is waitress Sissi. Guests Elli and Hans are freshly married and flee for his meddling mother Charlotte. But then by chance Charlotte herself appears as guest. Receptionist Franz Ferdinand uses code name Black Widow to warn Hans and Elli for her. When Charlotte and guest Dr. Ludwig Sommer ride horse, she falls down and injures her foot. Because Dr. Sommer gets too intimate with her, Franz Ferdinand helps her getting rid of him. In the meantime Hans and Elli have a marital fight. Travel operator Jochen is of the opinion that the hotel should represent former emperor Ludwig more; well, he doesn't know about Peter's theme party yet.
