- Santiago is a 40-year-old man who runs a bakery in the old town of Madrid, very close to the Plaza Mayor. One day, Santiago receives news that a stranger has left him as an inheritance the brothel that she had run until then in the United Kingdom. That stranger turns out to be his real mother.
