- Cute and sexy blonde Marianne Gaba was born Mary Ann Gaba on November 13, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. Her father Frank Gaba was a mailman while her mother Marie was a factory worker. Gaba was crowned Miss Illinois in a local beauty pageant in 1957 and was one of fifteen finalists in the Miss Universe contest held in Long Beach, California in July of that same year. Marianne attended USC for two years and wrote a gossip column for "TV and Movie Screen" magazine. She was the Playmate of the Month in the September, 1959 issue of "Playboy." Gaba went on to act in a handful of films and television shows in the wake of her Playmate stint. She married Michael Eugene Starkman on June 11, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Recently, he also served as the executive producer and in-house director of "Ghost Whisperer," which ran for five years on CBS. He also co-authored the book "Ghost Whisperer: Spirit Guide" and created and wrote the award winning "Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side" webseries. His other television executive producer credits include "Profiler," "The Beast," "New York News," "Brimstone," and "For The People" all of which he also directed. Sander was a producer of the Emmy Award-winning series "Equal Justice" and the Emmy Award-winning, two-hour series pilot "I'll Fly Away." Among his television movie executive producer credits are "Ali: An American Hero," the Emmy Award-winning "Stolen Babies," "Kansas," "Chasing the Dragon," and "I'll Fly Away: Then and Now." He also directed both "Chasing the Dragon" and "I'll Fly Away," the latter earning him a nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for a Dramatic Special by the Directors Guild of America. Nicholas Lane Noxon was born in 1936 in London, England to a Canadian born father, and an American born mother.
He attended the private Putney School in Putney Vermont, and then attended Antioch College Ohio from which he received a BA.
He first worked as an editor for a Washington DC based educational film company, then went to California and worked for David Wolper Productions and was part of documentary movie projects sold in the early 1960's directly to TV stations, thus by-passing the major broadcast networks. Direct sales of movies to local TV stations was called "syndication distribution," and was an important part of local TV programming in the 1950's and 1960's, supplementing network provided programming and programming originated at each local station.
