- After Jack Livingston left motion pictures, he settled in Buffalo, New York. There he obtained a job as a welder. He lived there from approximately 1928 or 1929 until circa 1939 or 1940. Than he relocated with his wife (Alice Mitchell) to live in Sheffield, Massachusetts. There he became a salesman. On the day of September 14th, 1952, he and his wife were traveling by car going northeast to their home when Jack lost control of the vehicle and had a collision with trees nearby the road. Both he and his wife were reported dead on the scene due to a crushed chest and several major and minor internal injuries all related to the accident which occurred in Salisbury, Connecticut. Jack Livingston and his wife were both cremated and their ashes are at - Sheffield City Cemetery in Sheffield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
