During the The 79th Annual Academy Awards (2007), three Mexican directors, Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Guillermo del Toro were all in contention at the Oscars and they became known as The Three Amigos. They share a unique bond with all of them helping in each other's projects.
