Nancy Green-Keyes, a casting director who worked on the first two Rush Hour films and on six films directed by Nick Cassavetes, including John Q, The Notebook and My Sister’s Keeper, has died. She was 68.
Green-Keyes died Wednesday of respiratory failure at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, her brother Andrew told The Hollywood Reporter.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful… but not nearly as frightful as the Holiday box office this year. Generally the week between Christmas and New Years sees some afterglow effect from the big releases as many people take the week off as an end of year vacation. This year, with no Avatar, Spider-Man or Star Wars in theaters, we aren’t really seeing those types of holdover numbers.
Predicting this weeks numbers will be a bit tough as there truly is no single stand out film that will clearly rise above the rest. You may point out that The Color Purple opened on Christmas Day and took in a shocking $18.1 million and a first place finish, but by Tuesday (just one day later) the film had dropped over 61% of its audience with $7 million and a third place finish. To put that into perspective: last year, films like Avatar: The Way of Water,...

In the wake of suffering a severe brain injury one week ago as a result of a devastating car crash, it’s being reported today that Anne Heche has tragically passed away.
The actress was just 53 years old, leaving behind two children.
“Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit,” Heche’s reps said in a statement. “More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work — especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.”
Heche had been in a coma since the crash in L.A.’s Mar Vista neighborhood on Friday, August 5. She had been under investigation for reportedly driving under the influence.
