Kix played their final concert ever on Sunday night (September 17th) at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland — just down the road from the band’s home city of Baltimore.
The hard rock vets were joined by former guitarists Ronnie Younkins and Brad Divens for what proved to be a celebratory, career-spanning set.
All of Kix’s biggest hits from their MTV glam-metal glory days were included in the set, most notably cuts from 1985’s Midnite Dynamite (“Midnite Dynamite”; “Scarlet Fever”; “Cold Shower”) and 1988’s Blow My Fuse.
Early in the set, Younkins joined the band onstage for the first two songs (“Atomic Bombs” and “The Kid”) before Divens took part in renditions of early Kix material (“For Shame” and “Mighty Mouth”) hailing from his stint in the band (1982-1983). Younkins and Divens then formed a triple-guitar attack with longtime Kix axeman Brian Forsythe for the four-song finale.

Plot: When filmmaker Mason Maestro throws a private party after production wraps on his new slasher flick, someone dressed like the killer in the movie starts knocking off the partiers one-by-one.
Review: After working together on the stalker film Blind (read my review at This Link) and its sequel Pretty Boy (which we’re still anxiously waiting to see), director Marcel Walz, screenwriter Joe Knetter, and star Sarah French have teamed up once again to launch a production company called Neon Noir. Their first production is That’s a Wrap, a giallo slasher that takes both clear inspiration from the works of Italian filmmakers like Mario Bava and Dario Argento – especially due to the fact that Walz and cinematographer Marcus Friedlander have soaked nearly every shot in colorful lighting – and from the Scream franchise, in that it’s a meta film where the characters work in the horror business.

Almost exactly one year ago, we shared the news that the creative team behind Blind (watch it Here, read my review at This Link) and its sequel Pretty Boy were launching a production company called Neon Noir, and their first production would be a giallo thriller called That’s a Wrap, starring Cerina Vincent of Cabin Fever. Now it has been announced that Quiver Distribution will be giving That’s a Wrap a digital release on August 25th, and along with that announcement comes the unveiling of the film’s trailer. You can watch it in the embed above.
Directed by Marcel Walz, That’s a Wrap has the following synopsis: The cast of a film arrive to a wrap party, but someone has dressed up as the slasher in the film, and begins to stage their own kill scenes. One by one, the cast disappear until the true nature of the evening is revealed.

Netflix declined to comment. Specifics as to the plot, and even the title of the new film remain tightly under wraps, though Sandler recently confirmed its setting in the world of sports memorabilia. The Safdies will direct from their own script and also serve as producers on the pic, which is gearing up for production this summer.
