Joachim Keil, residing in Mannheim and Berlin, has been a media industry professional for more than 25 years, dealing in music rights, publishing rights, internet copyright and youth protection issues. Having started out in the music business, he has now also successfully ventured into the film market. Regularly sharing his expertise in public contributions to the press and in panel discussions, he has initiated and managed the transition from physical media marketing to digital distribution and marketing channels in several companies and therefore has first hand knowledge and experience in how to overcome the huge discrepancy between theoretical ideas and practical applications in these necessary endeavors.
Since 2015 he is dedicated to the implementation of the concept of "intermedia marketing" for movies, which promotes the "all-inclusive" marketing of full-length movies. The core of this approach consists of a sensible combination of all existing distribution forms, instead of the now still widespread commercial exploitation of singular marketing platforms (festivals, theatrical release, Free-TV/Pay-TV, DVD/Blu-Ray, TVoD/SVoD/AVoD/FVoD), still mainly characterized by distinction. Since 2017 he has also been producing independent movies in Berlin.
