The first trailer for Love Island Games held back a key piece of information about the show’s format, but it did tease appearances from some particularly polarizing veteran islanders, including Love Island USA Season 3’s Cely Vazquez and her ex Johnny Middlebrooks, whose on-again off-again relationship stirred up a lot of drama both in and out of the villa. It also hinted at a more action-based competition approach, like MTV’s The Challenge, with host Maya Jama stating that the challenges would “determine everything,” including which couple would win and take home the $100,000 cash prize.

Rita Ora has never shied away from a daring fashion choice, but she one-upped herself when she attended British Vogue’s 2023 Forces for Change Party on Thursday night (November 23) at The Maine Mayfair in London, England.
The 32-year-old “Body On Me” hitmaker stepped out in a totally sheer, high-low dress with a high neck. The black gown put her whole body on display. The only things covering her chest were strategically placed, three-dimensional black roses.
She completed the outfit with a matching futuristic mask that covered the lower half of her face and accessorized with strappy black heels and a jeweled handbag.

With 22 international iterations of “Love Island” taking the lead from the franchise’s U.K. flagship series, “Love Island USA” producer ITV Entertainment aimed to harness the property’s crossover potential among American audiences in its newest spin-off, “Love Island Games.”
“We knew we had a disparate audience in America,” ITV Entertainment president and “Love Island Games” EP Simon Thomas told TheWrap, pointing to the movement of “Love Island USA” from CBS to Peacock. “There didn’t seem to be a huge amount of crossover, in that there’s a lot of American fans who just discovered the American show and didn’t know or care about the U.K. show — and then there’s hardcore American fans of the U.K. show and the Australian show.”

Exclusive: Insanity Group, the UK agency that represents stars including Love Island host Maya Jama, has apologized to former client Char Ellesse following a Zoom call about her social media output.
Ellesse recently quit Insanity as a result of the call on September 29. She said the company displayed a lack of understanding for the needs of Black and intersectional content creators when it requested that she increase the regularity of her social media updates.
Ellesse posted a 90-second edited excerpt from the hour-long video call on her Instagram account last month. An industry source brought it to the attention of Deadline, saying it had been the talk of the UK agency community in recent days.
Ellesse said she felt “bulldozed” and ambushed on the “unacceptable” call. She accused Insanity of “gaslighting” her over her belief that an Instagram algorithm tweak had reduced engagement for content creators from diverse backgrounds.

“Love Island Games” is already bringing the heat to the villa, as the Peacock spin-off welcomes two new bombshells to the competition: “Love Island U.K.” alum Megan Barton Hanson and “Love Island U.S.A.” alum Johnny Middlebrooks.
Upon entering the villa at the end of Wednesday’s series premiere, “Love Island Games” host Maya Jama informed Barton Hanson and Middlebrooks they could choose to kiss two islanders of their choice. Middlebrooks immediately shook things up by choosing to kiss his ex, Cely Vazquez, and Imani Wheeler, both of whom appeared on “Love Island U.S.A.”
The catch is, however, that the islanders were blindfolded while the bombshells made their choices, leaving those who were picked for a smooch in the dark about the identity of the bombshell.
In an exclusive clip shared with TheWrap, Jama breaks downs the consequences of the bombshells’ decisions, which leaves Ray, who is coupled up with Wheeler,...

The spin-off show will kick off in South Africa next year, with more information on the former ‘Islanders’ coming in due course.
Hosted by Maya Jama, Love Island has been airing for almost 10 years on IT2, bringing in gangbuster ratings and currently airing twice per year. Ratings have dipped slightly of late but bosses will be hoping the All Stars edition gives the show a boost.
“After 10 ratings busting seasons of Love Island on ITV2, we’re delighted to be able to celebrate a decade of the number one dating show on television with the first ever series of Love Island: All Stars,” said Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller, ITV2, ItvBe.
