When Netflix officially declared November 6 as "Stranger Things Day," they promised theatrical screenings, pop-up events across the country, and so much more. Chosen to commemorate the in-universe date in 1983 that marks the disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) into the Upside Down, November 6, 2022, will forever be known as the day "Stranger Things" fans everywhere kicked off their wild speculation regarding the show's final season.
As part of the day's festivities, the official "Stranger Things" Twitter account posted an image of the title page from the first episode of season 5, with the caption "season 5. chapter one. the crawl. happy stranger things day." Thanks for all the lowercase letters, clearly millennial social media account manager!

"It's a never ending biiiiiiiiiding waaaaaaar! Ahahah Ahahah Ahahahhhhh....."
The fantasy classic and source of an entire generation's childhood trauma, "The NeverEnding Story" might be the next major IP to see an onscreen reboot. Thanks to a report from Deadline, it appears as if studios across the globe are all vying for the rights to Michael Ende's book, which became a beloved film by Wolfgang Petersen. Deadline claims there are multi-million dollar offers on the table.
In the years that followed the success of Ende's novel, AVAInternational published six different novels called "Legends of Fantastica," which use existing parts of the plot and characters of "The NeverEnding Story" to tell brand new tales. This means that "The NeverEnding Story" still has plenty of new angles to explore, and plenty of new ways to inspire children to have their first existential crisis. Episode seven ended with A sending a text with a photo of Tyler, dead. Tabby (Chandler Kinney) admits she thought A would kill Tyler and Mouse (Malia Pyles) begs them to call the police.
Faran (Zaria) wants to forward the photo to the cops but Tabby thinks since A sent it to them, he’d know how the cops got it. Mouse points out that A’s killed at least two people and Faran adds they were all horrible people. HBO Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin season one episode seven opens with Elodie (Lea Salonga) receiving her first communication from A. It’s a flyer for the Millwood Carnival in 1999 and on the back, it reads: “Meet me in the hall of mirrors.”
A flashback shows Elodie (Emily Bautista) and Angela (Gabriella Pizzolo) running through the hall of mirrors. They begin to kiss and Davie (Ava DeMary) catches them. Elodie backs away and asks Angela what she’s doing, adding, “Did you see that, Davie? How she attacked me?”
Davie warns Angela, “Well, don’t think you can come on to me next.”
Present-day Elodie burns the flyer.
Imogen (Bailee Madison) and Tabby (Chandler Kinney) learn from Faran that her mom’s been discharged from the hospital.

Just like its predecessor, "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" is great at engaging fans with lots of juicy plot details. With every episode comes a new batch of theories about the identity of this generation's deadly "A" stalker or the Liars' own mysterious pasts. Since the series takes place in the same universe as "Pretty Little Liars," eagle-eyed fans are also constantly on the lookout for unique connections to the original series - and episode six delivers a major one that potentially muddies the whole Pll timeline.
When Does the Original "Pretty Little Liars" Take Place?
First, here's a quick primer on when both series take place. "Pretty Little Liars" begins with Aria's (Lucy Hale) 2010 return to Rosewood in the pilot episode, a year after Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) 2009 disappearance. The remaining series events take place from 2010 to 2018, when the Liars finally defeat "A.D." and bid farewell to each other...

"Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" and "Stranger Things" may not immediately strike you as two shows that have a ton in common, but they're actually a lot alike. Both center on a crew of close teenage friends running around their small town trying to bring down a mysterious killer. Sure, the HBO Max reboot's villain isn't a monster, but that doesn't mean they're any less scary or deadly than a Demogorgon.
Add one more similarity to the list of things the two shows share, because a beloved "Stranger Things" character plays a key role in "Pll: Original Sin." Gabriella Pizzolo - who plays Dustin's (Gaten Matarazzo) tech-y, long-distance girlfriend, Suzie, in seasons three and four of the Netflix sci-fi show - is the actress portraying Angela Waters in "Pll: Original Sin." Much like Suzie, Pizzolo's "Pll: Original Sin" character doesn't appear on screen all that often,...

Turn around, look at what you see: Suzie from Stranger Things on Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. That's right, Gabriella Pizzolo, who plays Gaten Matarazzo's on-screen love interest in the Netflix drama, has found herself on another hit teen series. Specifically, Pizzolo has put Suzie's glasses and tech-obsessed ways to the side to play doomed high school student Angela Waters on Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. You likely saw Pizzolo and didn't realize it was her, as she made a jaw-dropping entrance in the first episode of the HBO Max series. In the first episode, Pizzolo's character enters a New Year's Eve party with makeup streaming down her face and...

For a certain generation of TV watchers, the theme song for “Pretty Little Liars” scratches an itch like no other. The original series, which ran for seven seasons on ABC Family before the channel became Freeform, began each episode with the lilting melodies of the Pierces’ “Secret” over pristine images of the main quartet in their funereal finest, making winking eye contact with the camera in order to shush it. The stage thus set, TV’s first iteration of Sara Shepard’s novels was slick, if not exactly subtle.
Now, after two previous tries at spinoffs (“The Perfectionists” and “Ravenswood”) failed to launch, a new attempt at reviving the franchise has arrived in the form of “Original Sin.” Created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring of “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” the drama follows in its predecessor’s footsteps by establishing its tone straight from its evocative opening-credits sequence.

"Stranger Things" consistently embeds the pop culture of yesteryear into its stories, and in doing so the show has continually helped introduce some absolute bangers to a new generation. Season 3's duet between former Broadway kids Gabriella Pizzolo and Gaten Matarazzo of the theme from "The NeverEnding Story" was the big hit back in 2019, and "Stranger Things" season 4 has been all about introducing the masses to the brilliance and absurdity that is Kate Bush.

The conclusion to “Stranger Things” Season 4 arrives July 1 in the form of two final episodes, the finale of which has a runtime of over two hours. Combined, the two episodes add up to almost four hours. And while it’s only been a month since Volume 1 came out, you may be in need of a brief recap before diving into the epic conclusion.
The most unforgettable twist in Season 4 so far might be the role of Jamie Campbell Bower’s character in tying everything together, including the long-desired explanation of the mythology behind the Upside Down. The fate of characters like Nancy, who was caught in Vecna’s clutches at the end of Volume I, and Eleven, who went on a mission to regain her telekinetic powers, come next in the threads we expect to be tied at the end of this fourth season. Even though Gaten Matarazzo is on Stranger Things, he still has theories about how the show should end like the rest of us. The actor, who plays Dustin, exclusively told E! In Volume I of season four, Dustin's former girlfriend Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) returned to help save the day, though she didn't interact with Dustin. Gaten has his fingers crossed that changes in season five, even if the couple has to get creative. "We can only hope," Gaten said. “Stranger Things” returned in May for its highly anticipated fourth season and immediately set the internet on fire with its various twists, turns and tunes. One such twist involves breakout cast member Jamie Campbell Bower, and Netflix is going to great lengths to avoid spoiling it for all potential Emmy voters who haven’t yet hit “play” on “Stranger Things 4.” Indeed, the English actor’s character is simply listed as “Friendly Orderly” on the 2022 Emmys ballot.
Bower numbers among the 22 “Stranger Things” cast members submitted at this year’s Emmys. He’s notably joined by his scene partner Millie Bobby Brown, who has nabbed two prior supporting actress nominations in 2017 and ’18 for her fan-fave role as Eleven, aka Jane Hopper, aka the girl with telepathic and psychokinetic abilities who loves Eggo Waffles.

On the track, Keery, who previously played in Chicago band Post Animal, takes on the vocals, singing, “So man in the mirror/Make another home here/You’re put together but clear/You’re lackin’ substance not fear.” The psych-tinged indie rock tune was written by Keery himself and a low-key, intimate vibe.

Dustin and Suzie sing the song over a walkie talkie that nearly all of the major characters are listening in on. The moment is a surprise comical break to all the insane monster-smashing action in the final episode of the season, but it’s one that almost never happened.
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, “Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer reveal they went through different versions of the scene using various musical choices. “At one point they were going to sing...

The very binge-worthy third season of Stranger Things is so good that fans are already clamoring for the next batch of episodes. Of course, the latest chapter in the supernatural saga was filled with plenty of shocking moments and nostalgic references, which were only heightened by the stellar soundtrack in the background.
Each track was specifically chosen to fit both the scene and keep with the time period of the show, and here’s a complete list (put together by the folks at Screen Rant) of every song featured this season, as well as the moments they coincided with:
“Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy?”
“Never Surrender” by Corey Hart: Eleven and Mike kiss in her bedroom. “Rock This Town” by Stray Cats: Townsfolk are having fun in the community pool. “Workin’ For A Livin'” by Huey Lewis and The News: Nancy hurries to work to deliver lunch. “She...

A day after the premiere of its highly-anticipated third season, the Stranger Things 3 soundtrack has dropped via Legacy Recordings.
The non-original soundtrack oozes in Eighties circa-1985 nostalgia with tracks like Madonna’s “Material Girl,” Reo Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and “Workin’ for a Livin'” by Huey Lewis & the News. The Cars’ “Moving in Stereo,” which – in a nod to the classic scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High – plays while Lifeguard Billy makes his steamy entrance to the Hawkins Pool, also appears on the track list.
