Maddison James Varas was born October 24, 1990 in Vancouver, British Columbia, the second child of Micheline Varas and Patricio Varas. His father is of Ecuadorian descent, and his mother, who is Brazil-born, is of Lebanese and Palestinian ancestry. Maddison began performing in his teens at his High School Saint. Thomas Aquinas. After graduating in 2008, Maddison moved to Ecuador to study graphic design.
In 2009, Maddison moved to Nova Scotia and studied politics at Saint Francis Xavier University until 2011 when Maddison switched his path focusing on Acting. Maddison began his secondary education in Acting at Vancouver Film School and graduated from the Performing Arts program in 2012. Maddison travelled to Los Angeles, New York and London auditioning and developing his acting resume. In 2013, he began studying Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England.
in 2013 after Maddi moved back from London and settled in Vancouver he began the Motion Pictures Arts program at the Bosa Centre and spends his time studying film and acting at Capilano University. When Maddison isn't busy auditioning, he directs and edits independent short films.
