Updated with latest: Selena Gomez revealed the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel title at Disney’s upfront Tuesday. The spinoff will be called Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. She also shared two first-look images which can be found below.
Deadline broke the news of the sequel series in January. Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers. Andy Fickman directed and executive-produced the pilot and will direct multiple episodes.
The original show ran four seasons, winning Emmys and doing well in the ratings until star Selena Gomez decided it was time to graduate to more adult roles. The show ran from 2007-2012, with Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie also airing on the Disney Channel in 2009. The cast returned for a stand-alone television special, The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex, in 2013.
There have been rumors of another reunion ever since and now, after a decade, Disney is making them a reality.

The finale will leave them “in a warm embrace,” Winter told TV Insider on the Disney Upfront red carpet. “That’s sweet,” O’Neil said, calling it “symbolic and literal.” He added, “They are there for each other in more ways than one, and I think it’s a great reflection of how much they still really care about each other after everything they’re going through.” And hey, there may be a light at the end of the heartbreaking tunnel. “I think personally, it’s going to be exciting to see them evolve and grow and hopefully be better individuals,” said O’Neil. “Maybe they ...

Details as to their roles are under wraps.
Currently shooting in Ottawa, Canada, Adulthood is about a sister and brother, Megan and Noah, who are barely hanging on in present-day America, like all of us. When they discover a dead body, long buried in their parents’ basement, the siblings are pulled back to the hometown they ran away from and into a rabbit hole of crime and murder.
Novelist Michael M.B. Galvin wrote the script. In addition to Winter, producers on the project include Scott Kroopf (Limitless), Lisa Wolofsky (Tow) and Russell Hollander (Flight Risk), as well as Olive Hill Media’s Michael Cho and Tim Lee, and Fresh Fish Films’ Danny Roberts, H.S. Naji and Jackie Langelier. Connie Tavel is exec producing alongside Mimi Rode for Olive Hill Media and Thorsten Schumacher for Rocket Science. Olive Hill Media and Fresh Fish Films are financing, with Rocket Science arranging finance for international sales.
Currently starring as Susie Glass in Guy Ritchie’s acclaimed Netflix crime drama The Gentlemen, based on his same-name film, Scodelario is otherwise best known for roles in films like Crawl, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, The Maze Runner franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Moon and more. Up next, she’ll be seen in Netflix’s limited series Senna on the Formula 1 champion of the same name.
Most recently seen in numerous seasons of American Horror Story, Lourd’s other notable credits include the rom-com Ticket to Paradise, Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart, three Star Wars films and Fox’s Scream Queens. Among her other upcoming projects is Gia Coppola’s film The Last Showgirl with Pamela Anderson.

The following article contains spoilers for "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes."
The "Planet of the Apes" reboot trilogy made a lot of big changes to the (already wonky) timeline of the original films, like making Caesar's revolt more grounded rather than it happening in a futuristic society where apes somehow replaced dogs as the biggest domesticated companion to humans.
But for the most part, they have been faithful, showing us how our world could end up becoming a dystopia where apes treat humans as cattle or slaves. They incorporated some of the biggest iconographies from the originals, from iconic phrases like "get your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape" to the Alpha and Omega cult and characters named after those in the original. The new film, "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes," the first in what is hopefully a new trilogy continues that tradition. It...
