Andrei Koscina is a Brazilian-French film director based in London (UK). He found his passion in cinema studying the Italian Neorealism and The French New Wave but it was the unique style of Fellini's films that really touched him. He has directed Shades of White (2014), Taciturn(2015), Blind Date (2016) and The Girl by the Canal (2017). They are all short fiction films in which the recurring theme relates to loneliness, search for one's own identity and belonging. Some of the directors that inspire him are Olivier Assayas, Michael Haneke, Woody Allen, Pablo Larrain and Paul Thomas Anderson. For him, even fictional stories depicted on the screen can prompt the audience to a self-reflection and make them feel part of a bigger world.
