- Jerome Davis was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Earnestyne and Daniel Davis. He was raised as the youngest of nine siblings by Jerome's mother. His love for acting came naturally, through interactions in his large family. He started acting on stage in high school and later was encouraged to pick it back up by his college professor. Soon, he followed with several notable TV appearances on shows such as Empire (2015), The Originals (2016) and Saints and Sinners (2016). He became well known for his co-starring role as Jerome, Luscios' bodyguard on Empire's 3rd and 4th seasons.

- Jerome tested higher than 93% of students nationally in his formative years and tested high enough on his Asvab to enter the services as an engineer.
- Jerome directed and starred in the play, "re-Entry" which was loosely based on Jerome's life story. Eventually this play was produced in prisons and other venues in Indiana, where Jerome sat on discussion panels with senators, deputy mayors, heads of DOC and deputy prosecutors of Indiana's re-entry system.
