Editor’s note: As SAG-AFTRA continues to encourage its members to both respect and support the guild’s Interim Agreements, Deadline has learned that the number of producers currently requesting permission to begin, complete and/or promote their films during the strike hovers around 1,400. Here, independent producer Michael Alden reflects on the process and questions why he’s still waiting for a thumbs up from SAG-AFTRA to spread the word about his latest film, a supernatural thriller starring Bruce Davison, Selena Anduze and Keith David.

Tamera “Tee” Kissen (White Men Can’t Jump) has signed on to play a vampire in the upcoming movie Fanged from Empyrean Pictures and Rebel Maverick, Deadline reports today.
According to the site, Tamera Kissen will be playing the film’s lead vampire.
“The film’s plot follows a group of young vampires celebrating the “Blood Day” of one of their own, Jasmine. After feasting on a local party’s favor during the celebrations, they find themselves in a deadly situation: They are trapped by an invisible barrier that forms out of nowhere and burns them every time they try to escape.
“Trying their best not to panic, they ration the remaining blood they have collected. But it becomes clear that if they do not feed soon, they will all perish. As the days wear on and their chances of escape diminish, the vampires unleash the true monsters inside them all.

Selena Anduze has been in just about everything over the course of the past few years. She’s been on shows like “S.W.A.T.,” and “The Haunting of Hill House,” and so much more. She’s an actress who has some serious talent, and her talent is not wasted on those who enjoy watching her share her skills with the world. She’s also a wife and a friend and a daughter, and people just don’t know that much about her. It’s time we change that, and it’s time we make sure that her fans get to know her better than they already do.

Doctor Sleep can never quite find what it wants to be. Stuck between an adaptation of Stephen Kings novel and Stanley Kubrick’s movie, Doctor Sleep sinks somewhere in the middle, but not without a fair attempt at being both.
The Shining is perhaps one of, if not the, most famous horror film of all time. Even if you’ve never seen it, you know of axe wielding Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson in the most Jack Nicholson performance of all time. A classic Swamp Thing story from the comics comes to the screen in "The Anatomy Lesson."

This Swamp Thing review contains spoilers.
Swamp Thing Episode 9
It is the penultimate episode of Swamp Thing and yet, rather than building to an epic series finale, “The Anatomy Lesson” stumbles with a story that feels patched together, and rushed. While a show shifting its signature aesthetic can be invigorating, the noirish vibe and overuse of deep focus cinematography jarringly disrupts the flow that has heretofore been established. Unfortunately the writing also stumbles.
Frankly, this reviewer wouldn’t be surprised to learn everyone involved in Swamp Thing had to go back and re-work much of this story to wrap things up. And the most disappointing aspect is Swamp Thing had been reliably strong up until its final moments.
After being captured last episode, Swamp Thing is transported to a lab for...
