In “The Voice” Season 21 finale, Kelly Clarkson won her fourth career trophy thanks to the history-making trio known as Girl Named Tom. (Read our minute-by-minute recap.) The sibling band from Pettisville, Ohio is comprised of Caleb Liechty (26), Joshua Liechty (24) and Bekah Liechty (20) and will now forever be known as the first-ever group to win “The Voice.” It was a fitting end for Girl Named Tom, as they were the very first blind audition shown to audiences back in September, where they earned a four-chair turn.
Kelly’s previous three winners were Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15) and Jake Hoot (Season 17). At four total victories, Kelly has now broken her tie with former coach Adam Levine, who prevailed thrice with Javier Colon (Season 1), Tessanne Chin (Season 5) and Jordan Smith (Season 9).

In Gold Derby’s recent poll, we asked diehard fans of “The Voice” what they thought of Adam Levine quitting NBC’s reality TV show after 16 seasons, and 53% voted that they were absolutely “devastated” by the news. The other 47% of fans voted that now was “the right time” for Adam to finally call it quits. Do you agree or disagree with those poll results? Be sure to sound off down in the comments section.

Hours after announcing that he was leaving “The Voice,” Adam Levine took to Instagram to explain his decision. “For me, it was time to move on,” confessed the Maroon 5 singer, who’s been with NBC’s reality TV show since day one along with country superstar Blake Shelton. (See Adam’s parting words below.) Over the past 16 seasons Adam mentored three winning artists: Javier Colon (Season 1), Tessanne Chin (Season 5) and Jordan Smith (Season 9). However, he hasn’t had a finalist on “The Voice” since Addison Agen back in Season 13.

The winner of season 16 of “The Voice” was announced on May 21, 2019 at the end of the two-hour results show. But in a break with tradition last season’s champion, Chevel Shepherd, was not part of the line-up of talent that performed in the lead-up to the big reveal.
Compare that to when Chevel claimed the title in December 2018 and the season 14 winner, Brynn Cartelli, got a chance to sing her new single, “Last Night’s Mascara.” That exposure propelled the song to #19 on the charts. And Brynn then got to spend the first part of 2019 touring the country as the opening act for her coach Kelly Clarkson.
Brynn has done better than the season 13 winner, Chloe Kohanski, who likewise returned to “The Voice” to debut her new single “Come This Far” on last spring’s season 14 finale. While she had made it to No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her...

Consider this: If Kelly Clarkson‘s last remaining artist Rod Stokes had ended up winning “The Voice” Season 16, Kelly would have tied Blake Shelton‘s long-standing record of three victories in a row. Alas, Rod was eliminated in last week’s results show after losing the live instant save to Andrew Sevener, which means Kelly now enters the finale without any artists left on her team. So Blake will remain in “The Voice” record books, at least for now, as the only coach to win three in a row for Season 2 (Jermaine Paul), Season 3 (Cassadee Pope) and Season 4 (Danielle Bradbery).

During Night 6 of “The Voice” blind auditions, coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine met Celia Babini, the final artist to receive a four-chair turn on Season 16 of the reality TV show. This 17-year-old New York City resident gave a haunting rendition of Billie Eilish‘s “idontwannabeyouanymore,” which Kelly said was her favorite new song. The coaches compared Celia’s unique voice to people like Fiona Apple and Florence And The Machine, but she ultimately let three of them down by choosing to join Team Adam. “The Voice” coach Adam Levine returned to his chair for season 16, which had its premiere Monday on NBC. The Maroon 5 frontman has been a coach for all 15 seasons of the show. However, he didn’t get anyone from his team in last season’s final following the elimination of Reagan Strange in the semi-final.
As you’ll recall, Reagan lost the Top 8 Instant Save to one of Jennifer Hudson‘s artists, Kennedy Holmes. That Reagan had made it that far was controversial, as she hadn’t taken part in the previous week’s Instant Save due to illness. Adam threw one of his other artists, DeAndre Nico, under the bus and urged viewers to save Reagan instead.

The season 14 winner of “The Voice” Brynn Cartelli returned to perform her new single, “Last Night’s Mascara,” on Tuesday’s results show. Two weeks ago “The Voice” contestant DeAndre Nico made headlines when his coach, Adam Levine, cruelly threw him under the bus so that fellow teammate Reagan Strange could advance instead. Adam’s actions resulted in many viewers asking for his reality TV resignation. To make matters worse, Reagan was eliminated the following week and so Adam entered the Season 15 finale without a single artist still in the game. During Tuesday’s results show, DeAndre returned to “The Voice” stage for the first time since his controversial elimination (watch above).

Adam Levine was stuck on the sidelines on “The Voice” final on December 17. Without an artist in the Top 4, he was reduced to making comments while the other three coaches — Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton — each took to the stage to do duets with their would-be winners. That Blake had two acts in contention for the season 15 title while Adam had none must have really rankled the Maroon 5 frontman.
You see Blake has won the show twice as many times as Adam (6 to 3) in their first 14 seasons on the show. The most recent of those victories for Blake was in season 13 when Chloe Kohanksi prevailed over Levine’s last top 4 finalist, Addison Agen. He could well claim his seventh title on Tuesday.

Adam Levine has been a coach on “The Voice” for all 15 seasons to date. But he hasn’t had an artist win since season 9 when Jordan Smith took the title. That was just the third victory for Levine, following his success with Javier Colon (season 1) and Tessanne Chin (season 5). The Grammy-winning frontman for Maroon 5 didn’t even have an act in last season’s final and the same fate befell him this season with the elimination of Reagan Strange on Tuesday’s results show.

Adam Levine really, really wants to win “The Voice” again. In fact, he’s getting desperate.
Despite coaching all 15 seasons of NBC’s reality TV show, it’s been a whopping six cycles since the Maroon 5 singer last won a championship, when Jordan Smith prevailed back in Season 9. The only other two other artists that won from Team Adam were Javier Colon (Season 1) and Tessanne Chin (Season 5). Brynn Cartelli won season 14 of “The Voice” on Tuesday by edging out Britton Buchanan in one of the closest votes in the history of the reality competition series. Despite being a coach on all 13 seasons of “The Voice” to date, Adam Levine has only won three times. The most recent of these was in season 9 when he took Jordan Smith to the winner’s circle (his others wins were in season 1 with Javier Colon and season 5 with Tessanne Chin). This season, he was only able to choose one of the three artists to take to the Top 12, which will perform live on April 23.
After America voted for Sharane Calister and Rayshun Lamarr he had to pick his third artist from the four remaining on his team. In the end, he opted for Jackie Verna over Mia Boostrom, Drew Cole and Reid Umstattd.
We asked you which of the three artists that didn’t make the grade with Levine was the most deserving to move on to the live shows. As of this writing, Boostrom has a solid lead...

“The Voice” coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have had a rivalry since day one on NBC’s reality TV competition, but their recent performance of “Fly Me to the Moon” seems to suggest that all is forgiven. In the vintage black-and-white duet, the male coaches sang such intimate lyrics as “hold my hand,” “baby kiss me” and even “I love you.” The tone of the video is serious, but Shelton and Levine occasionally smile as if to let the audience know that they’re joking. In case you missed this video from the Top 24 recap episode of “The Voice,” watch Shelton and Levine’s duet above.

Adam Levine has assembled a powerhouse team for this season of “The Voice.” While he has been with the show since the start, the Maroon 5 frontman has only won three of the previous 13 seasons: Javier Colon (season 1), Tessanne Chin (season 5) and Jordan Smith (season 9). He came tantalizingly close last season but his artist, Addision Agen, lost in the final to Blake Shelton‘s contender, Chloe Kohanski. That marked the sixth victory for Shelton and Levine is hoping to end that winning streak in season 14.

Adam Levine has been a coach on every season of “The Voice” and has mentored three of the first 13 winners of this reality competition series. The most recent of these was in season 9 when he took Jordan Smith to the winner’s circle (his others wins were in season 1 with Javier Colon and season 5 with Tessanne Chin). He came tantalizing close to tasting victory last fall but his artist, Addison Agen, had to settle for second place. Levine’s rival, Blake Shelton, got win #6 as Chloe Kohanski claimed victory.
Levine is looking for revenge on Shelton this season and has assembled a strong team of 12 artists to take into battle. We have compiled power rankings of the 12 members of Team Adam Levine. This listing from best to worst is based on their performances in the blind auditions as well as the resulting sales of their tracks on iTunes and the votes of viewers like you.

Adam Levine has won three of his 13 seasons as a coach on “The Voice.” He propelled Javier Colon to victory in the first season and then did so again with Tessanne Chin in season 5. However, his last win was back in season 9 when Jordan Smith took the title. Levine’s long-time rival, Blake Shelton, has coached six winners, including reigning champ Chloe Kohanski.
Levine, who mentored the season 13 runner-up Addison Agen, has a chance to exact his revenge on Shelton this season. The first step on the road to victory is the battle rounds, which begin on March 19. He must decide which six of his 12 artists to take through to the next round, the knockouts. To help Levine make these tough choices, he has brought in country music star Julie Michaels as an advisor.
We have done some digging and discovered the match-ups of the 12 artists on Team Adam Levine.

Season 14 of “The Voice” kicks off on February 26. That is just shy of 10 weeks since Chloe Kohanski claimed the season 13 title on December 19, 2017. She became the sixth winner for coach Blake Shelton, who has been with the show since the start. Kohanski won after delivering a soaring performance of the original song “Wish I Didn’t Love You” as well as a cover of the 1980s hit “Bette Davis Eyes” and a duet with Shelton on “You Got It.”
The single of her original song only made it to No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100. Is that a sign of things to come when Kohanski releases her first album later this year? ‘The Voice’ poll results: ‘It would be a disaster’ if coaches Adam Levine or Blake Shelton ever left
Season 14 of NBC’s Emmy-winning reality TV series “The Voice” is scheduled to premiere on February 26 with newcomer Kelly Clarkson joining the coaching panel alongside returning veterans Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys. While the two chairs between Adam and Blake have been rotating since Season 4, this bromantic duo has refused to give up their seats. And according to the results of our recent poll, the reason is clear: The show would crumble without them!

In season 10 of The Voice there has been a lot of talk about the "girl curse." Most of this chatter comes from Christina, talking about herself and the fact that no female coach has ever won a season of The Voice. However the "girl curse" might refer to more than just Christina's desire to win. The last time a female singer won The Voice was back in season 5 with Tessanne Chin. Of the 9 previous winners of The Voice, 6 of them have been male singers. Maybe Christina is right, it is time for a girl to win The Voice. It just doesn't need to be female coach mentoring them.
