Apex Legends is still one of the most popular eSports games ever. MoistCr1TiKaL, a YouTuber, is planning to sue the US immigration department for unfair treatment, marking a new chapter in the system’s complete breakdown. His team, Moist Esports, nearly faced denial of entry into the US for their participation in the Algs Year 4 Split 1 Playoffs, which took place in Los Angeles.
Cr1TiKaL uploaded a video talking about how he and his legal team had to go above and beyond to try to make the members of the team be able to enter the country to compete. The immigration department almost mocked them and made no effort at all to review this case.

MrBeast has brought his brand into another video game. The YouTube star’s latest partnership is a deal with Zynga‘s Socialpoint studio centered around the mobile game Top Troops.
Top Troops is a strategy game launched last year by Socialpoint, the studio acquired by Take-Two in 2017. (Take-Two became Zynga’s parent company after closing a $12.7 billion deal in 2022.) Top Troops players who download the game on either iOS or Android devices can now take part in the MrBeast Battle Challenge, which was designed in tandem with the titular creator (whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson.)
The MrBeast Battle Challenge is a 14-day gauntlet filled with challenges that look like they came out of a MrBeast video. The creation of “MrBeast-themed obstacles” is nothing new for North Carolina-based Donaldson. Last year, he jumped into another casual game when he designed levels and characters for Scopely’s Stumble Guys.

If you spend a lot of time watching YouTube, you may be familiar with World of Warships, the naval combat franchise that has sponsored some of the platform’s biggest creators. On February 19, the Wargaming-owned title debuted its newest and most expansive creator partnership: On that day, the World of Warships brand debuted the first of five new commanders inspired by popular streamers.
Moist Cr1TiKaL, Sapnap, Ludwig, Nadeshot, and CouRage are the five creators who worked alongside the World of Warships team to develop custom camouflage, flags, and commander avatars. Those cosmetic items are available as part of an initiative called the Creatorverse, which is going live on the PC version of the game as well as its console title World of Warships: Legends.

A feud between two prominent creators has reached its boiling point. Jack Douglass, the veteran videomaker behind the Jacksfilms channel, is asking YouTube to deplatform Alia “SSSniperwolf” Shelesh after she came to his home address unannounced and posted a photo of his house on Instagram.
Douglass, whose YouTube career dates back to the platform’s earliest days, is a longtime critic of reaction videos. Last year, the commentator known for formats like Yiay set his sights on Shelesh, who ranks among the internet’s most-watched creators. Douglass argued that Shelesh’s reaction content — which has brought more than 34 million subscribers to her primary YouTube channel — is nothing more than thinly-veiled content theft.
To emphasize his point, Douglass launched an entire channel dedicated to SSSniperwolf-style reaction content. His continued jabs led to a war of words between the two creators. Eventually, their feud grew into something more serious, resulting in...

Charlie White has been streaming on Twitch since it was still known as Justin.tv. The man known as Moist Cr1TiKaL is a legend on the Amazon-owned platform, but he’s making a move that will bring his live broadcasts elsewhere. After ending his exclusive streaming agreement with Twitch, White will be able to diversify his content, especially on his YouTube channel.
White announced his new approach in a video he shared on YouTube. He thanked Twitch for allowing him to terminate a contract that prevented him from streaming on other platforms. “Twitch was nice enough to turn our contract into toilet paper,” he said.
The five million fans who follow White on Twitch don’t need to worry about his account going dark anytime soon. He will continue to go live on that platform while simultaneously exploring his options on YouTube and elsewhere. He explained that Twitch’s strict exclusivity...

Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) begins “Creed III” as the retired heavyweight boxing champion of the world, while wife Bianca (Tessa Thompson) is a high-powered music producer. A power couple like that in Los Angeles would have a home that reflects their success, but this particular house also needed to be a showcase of accessibility for their deaf daughter Amara (Mila Davis-Kent). This led production designer Jahmin Assa to imagine a home for the Creeds that was extremely modern in style and materials.
“I started talking to people about what you would do if you had all the resources at your disposal to provide for a deaf family member, and learned that everything [being] visible is a lot better than having things that can sneak up upon you,” Assa told IndieWire. “So a lot of glass, a lot of wider hallways. We wanted this openness upstairs to show some of these artists as well,...

If you host a YouTube channel and have the mouth of a sailor, then a recent policy update should have you singing a merry sea shanty. The leading video platform has reversed a controversial change it instituted last November. Instead of demonetizing videos that feature curse words in their first seven seconds, YouTube will allow creators to make money on content that includes “moderate profanity.”
The about-face was confirmed through a post on the YouTube Help forum. “We heard concerns from creators that the new profanity policy actually resulted in a stricter approach than we intended,” reads the post. High-profile complaints came from notable names like Moist Cr1TiKaL and ProZD, who argued that YouTube’s cuss crackdown was overly strict, unfairly applied to old videos, and poorly communicated to the creator community.
To make amends, YouTube will now allow monetization on videos with bad language. Even if a creator uses “stronger profanity,...

Two of the top streamers on the internet are coming together under a single banner. YouTube star Ludwig Ahgren has become the co-owner of Moist Esports, the gaming organization founded by multiplatform standout Charlie ‘Cr1TiKaL’ White.
The transaction is described as a deal between Moist Esports and Ahgren’s Mogul Moves banner. The two streamers will team up to bring a creator-driven approach to esports. Ahgren plans to name and operate some teams of his own alongside the roster White has already constructed.
Ahgren announced the move in a video on his Mogul Mail channel. White shows up halfway through the video to brag about the Rocket League and Super Smash Bros trophies Moist Esports has won. A cut-down version of the clip also made its way to the official Moist Esports Twitter account.

A change to YouTube‘s monetization policy has drawn complaints from its community. As creators deal with a fresh wave of yellow dollar signs, the platform that hosts their videos is clarifying its procedure for dealing with profanity.
Under YouTube’s updated terms, videos with profanity will be automatically demonetized if the naught words appear within the first eight seconds of a video. The tightened policy adds some clarity to YouTube’s previous position. In a 2019 video on the Creator Insider channel, YouTube reps noted that content was more likely to be demonetized if profanity showed up at the “beginning of a video,” though the end of that beginning was nebulously placed “around 30 seconds,” per Mashable.
In theory, the new profanity guidelines clear up confusion, but creators have called out YouTube for failing to convey that a change was coming. Though the update was shared months ago on YouTube’s Community Forum and Help Center,...

Ludwig Ahgren is famous as one of the top streamers in the online video community, but his latest product offers a different type of stream: A jet of water. Ahgren has launched a company called Swipe, which is selling two different types of bidets.
Swipe offers its customers two different methods for cleaning up in the bathroom. The brand’s cheaper option is a 50 device that can be attached to any conventional toilet. The bidet’s description promises “easy DIY installation,” though some customers may need a helping hand.
If you’re a true bidet fan who is really looking to ball out, you can update to the Swipe+, which retails for 500. That model is essentially a brand new toilet, and it comes with all the premium features: It has a remote-controlled wash, a warm air dryer, two different rim shapes to choose from, and much more.
Ahgren announced the launch of Swipe on Twitter.

Buffalo 8 has acquired worldwide rights at the just-wrapped Cannes virtual market to Givers of Death, an apocalyptic sci-fi thriller written and directed by and starring Addison Henderson. The pic, which is coming off its world premiere at the American Black Film Festival, will hit U.S. theaters and Premium VOD sometime in 2022.
The film, which is set in a world obliterated by a deadly virus that has killed a third of the population, centers on a the quest for peace for a hitman (Henderson) in a post-apocalyptic world where those who are too afraid to end their own lives from the painful virus hire hitmen to do it for them. Jonathan Sterritt, Lou Lombardi, JJ Alfieri, Jason Delane Lee and Yvonne Huff Lee also star.
Henderson said his film “was born from my own personal tragedies and was inspired by the citizens of Otsuchi, Japan who lost loved ones to a horrific tsunami.

Surprise eliminations on “Dancing with the Stars” are commonplace these days with passionate fan bases completely overriding the judges’ scores. So I’d love to see the show cast another all-stars season, but this time focused on the celebs since season 15 (their last all-stars edition) who, quite frankly, got screwed in their initial appearances on the show. We asked readers which celeb who was ousted early in recent years most deserves another chance at the Mirror Ball Trophy. And the results were crystal clear. Scroll down to see who fans voted for.

“Dancing with the Stars” was all over the place in season 28 with surprise eliminations and one uncoordinated contestant wearing out his welcome, but there was no surprise bigger than the elimination of James Van Der Beek in the Semi-Finals. I think the show should consider another all-star season, but this time the show should use it to give a second chance to stars like Van Der Beek who got screwed the first time around.
Van Der Beek’s ouster — the week his wife suffered a miscarriage, no less — will go down as one of the show’s worst, but since the show’s last all-star competition in season 15 he’s far from the only talented celeb dancer who went home way too soon. For instance, actress Elizabeth Berkley was one of the three best dancers of season 17 based on the judges’ scores, but she left the show in sixth place.

James Van Der Beek is having a pretty great fall. He revealed on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” that he and his wife Kimberly are expecting their sixth child. Mazel tov! And he’s killing it so hard on the dance floor that he’s the favorite in our odds to win the whole thing. But his scores haven’t exactly been commensurate with what we’ve seen from him.
