In March, Trump launched a Maga-based Bible that included lyrics to “God Bless the U.S.A.” by Lee Greenwood, the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and other notable American documents. Trump’s Maga Bible was widely mocked by both sides online, including a segment on Saturday Night Live.
In his sermon at the Central Church of North Carolina, evangelical Pastor Loran Livingston shared his thoughts on Trump’s new product. A Livingston video was shared with TikTok and X, where it went viral for his heated words.
“No, no. It’s disgusting! It’s blasphemous! It’s a ploy! Are you kidding me? Some of you are so encouraged by that. Let me tell you something. The gospel is not an American gospel. It is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!”
This evangelical is over Trump.

Another season of Married at First Sight is on the horizon and we couldn’t be happier to move on from the disastrous Denver season.
They’re bringing the show back to Chicago with a new batch of hopefuls ready to trust the process and have the experts find their perfect match.
That certainly didn’t happen in Season 17, but we’re crossing our fingers that the Chicago cast will reignite our hope in the eight-week marital experiment.
This is not the first time that The Windy City has been the backdrop for the popular lifetime time show, Season 5 was also filmed in Chicago, Illinois.
It aired in 2017, and of the three couples featured that season, one has a successful marriage to show for it.
That’s the season that gave us Ashley Petta and her husband Anthony D’Amico. They have been married for over seven years and have two adorable kids.

Decision Day is finally here for three of the remaining four Married at First Sight Denver couples. But rather than heading into the day with a sense of anticipation, everyone involved (including the show’s trio of experts) seems to be approaching it with a sense of either apprehension or resignation.
At this point, divorce seems like a foregone conclusion for all three couples: Becca and Austin, Clare and Cameron, and Emily and Brennan. Malaga, Spain — Traditionally, until a few years back, a Spanish film industry debate led to a “Wall of Laments” which ended up as a call for increased governmental support.
That was then. €70 million ($76.8 million) in 2023, €100 million ($109 million) last year, Spain’s Icaa film institute budget could add another €30 million ($32.7 million) with a little luck this year, said Rocío Juanas de Toledo, its secretary general at a panel, Spanish Cinema Models Examined, one of the key industry debates at this week’s Malaga Festival.
Panelists represented Spain’s three biggest content investors – Movistar Plus+, Atresmedia and Rtve – and two top producers: Morena Films and Elástica Films.
It took speakers less than two minutes to zero in on Spain’s biggest immediate challenge: Its still underperforming box office, down 24% on pre-pandemic levels.
“Our major concern is how to recuperate the cinema theater audiences we had before the pandemic,” said Jaime Ortiz, Atresmedia Cine director general.

Liberty University, the private Christian university founded by pastor Jerry Falwell Sr., will pay the Department of Education a whopping $14 million fine after a years-long investigation found it violated the Clery Act, which regulates campus safety and sexual misconduct.
The 108-page final report issued Tuesday details 11 ways the university violated the Clery Act, from failing to maintain crime logs and records, to not issuing proper warnings or complying with sexual violence preventative measures. In particular, the way the evangelical school responded to cases of sexual assault was found to be especially lacking,...

It was business as usual as the series' four-episode arc about Will's paternity ended.
Angie returned to work on Will Trent Season 2 Episode 3, and her partnership with Michael was stronger than ever as they dealt with a sauna murder that was too close to home for Michael. Meanwhile, Will's views on religion and faith were tested with a complicated murder and missing woman case.
They've been pulling out seasoned guest stars and tying in emotional character arcs. Tonight is no exception.
While the series has moved on to business as usual, Will has not moved on yet. He still had visions of Cricket and avoided going to the office unless he was called into a case.
It was endearing that he and Betty went to support Angie when she passed her physical, but she saw right through his facade.
Angie: Have you talked to anyone about the explosion?
Will: No.

Married at First Sight fans have been team Becca from the very beginning, but now the tides are turning.
After weeks of crying and pleading with Austin for more intimacy, people are pointing out the hypocrisy in how viewers have responded to the couple.
Fans of the show have been bashing Austin online, with some even making speculations about his sexuality since he has yet to consummate his marriage.
However, critics have pointed out that if it were the other way around and Austin was pressuring Becca to have sex, he would have instantly been dubbed as a villain.
Meanwhile, after a recent session with Pastor Cal, things are going downhill fast for Becca and Austin.
A frustrated Becca told the Mafs expert that Austin’s constant assurance that he’s invested in her, and their marriage is only reserved for TV.

‘Ordinary Angels’ Review: Hilary Swank’s Passionate Performance Drives True Faith Based Family Drama
Lionsgate’s collaboration with faith based movie producers Kingdom Story Company has reaped boxoffice rewards for both, and with their latest, Ordinary Angels, the inspiring true story of a small Kentucky town that comes together in a historic snowstorm in order to transport a 3-year-old girl to an Omaha hospital for a life-saving liver transplant, they have another surefire heartfelt film tailor-made for audiences looking for a little uplift. This actually would have made a perfect Christmas season release but has been delayed for several months, now opening in the same February corridor where Kingdom’s surprise hit, Jesus Revolution did well last year. Midwest crowds will especially respond to a never-say-never tale that is about bringing people together, not tearing them apart in this age of division.

This year, Spain has more titles at the Berlinale’s two TV showcases, Co-Pro Series and Berlinale Market Selects, than any other country in the world— a total of four shows, beating the U.S. with one, and even Germany, which has three.
On top of that, running Feb. 19-20 at the fest’s CinemaxX screening hub, the Spanish showcase at the Berlinale
Market Series highlights three more shows and features a panel, in what may be the big- gest national TV showcase at 2024’s Berlin Festival.
What this bullish presence says about the state of the state of Spanish TV production is an- other matter. Seven key takes:

Spain’s Berlin bonanza is only natural. Netflix scored its first global TV blockbuster with Spain’s “Money Heist” in 2018, and now the country is now riding a second wave as a strong supplier of the global streamer. In...

In a video posted to X ahead of the services, Osteen said today’s two services marked a time of healing and restoration for his church’s community. “This Sunday, we’re gonna have special services- time of healing and restoration, time of praise and thanksgiving, just thanking God for his angels for watching after us,” Osteen said.

It’s almost time for a second emotional goodbye to one of comedy’s best characters: Sheldon Cooper.
Fans fell in love with the character of Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory, which ran for 12 years and starred Jim Parsons. In the spinoff prequel Young Sheldon, Parsons passed down the torch to Iain Armitage. However, Parsons still narrates the series as adult Sheldon and executive produces.
Young Sheldon allows audiences to travel back to Sheldon’s childhood in East Texas, truly giving us the opportunity to meet his family in a way that we hadn’t with their appearances on The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon wouldn’t be who he is without Mary (Zoe Perry), George Sr. (Lance Barber), Missy (Raegan Revord), Georgie (Montana Jordan), and his Meemaw (Annie Potts).

Update: Associated Press is reporting a woman in a trench coat opened fire with a long gun inside celebrity pastor Joel Osteen’s megachurch in Texas before being gunned down by two off-duty officers who confronted her.
The incident sent worshippers rushing from the building between busy Sunday services, authorities said.
Police said the woman entered the church with a 5-year-old boy shortly before 2 p.m. The woman began shooting, as officers at the scene “engaged” her and the woman was killed. The 5-year-old was hit in the exchange of gunfire and critically injured, although no immediate details were released on how the confrontation unfolded.
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said it was not clear whether the child was struck by the off-duty officers who returned fire. He said a 57-year-old man also was shot and wounded.

Filmmaker Kevin Smith is best known for his work in the comedy genre. His movies often center on comic book and Star Wars-loving guys, and tend to be packed with stoner humor and vulgar but amusing conversations about sex. But once he was more than a decade and several movies into his movie career, he decided to switch things up, making a horror film that was inspired by disturbing headlines and is packed with death, damnation – and some damn fine acting. Released in 2011, Kevin Smith’s first horror movie was called Red State (watch it Here), and if you haven’t seen it, it’s the best horror movie you never saw.

The boss of Gary Lineker’s podcast company has described making a show in the U.S. as “the holy grail.”
Tony Pastor, who launched Goalhanger Podcasts with the Match of the Day host and BBC exec Jack Davenport four years ago, said the company is pondering how to forge a podcast “directed at an American audience, because it is such a big and mature market.”
“[The U.S. is] probably something like 25 times the size of the UK podcast market,” Pastor told journalists at a Broadcasting Press Guild event today alongside Lineker. “People in America drive a lot and there is a lot of podcast listening, so we would love to make something over there.”
Repped by WME, Goalhanger produces some of the biggest podcasts in the UK including the Rest is History, Rest is Politics and the Lineker-hosted Rest is Football.
The former has a solid listener base in the U.S.

When Kenneth Smith first reached out to Reverend Jeff Hood to be with him during his January execution, Smith’s first question was: “Are you prepared to die to be my spiritual advisor?”
“Well, of course, that was absolutely shocking,” Hood says on the eve of Smith’s planned death. “He knew that I was intense enough or faithful enough with regard to my work that I would probably sign a waiver. I signed the waiver to show Kenny that I was committed to him.”

Married at First Sight has delivered plenty of jaw-dropping moments over the years, from Jamie Otis’s wedding day breakdown in season 1 to unhappy newlywed Alyssa’s angry rant to producers about her husband Chris in season 14. But no one was prepared for the show’s biggest twist yet: when season 17 groom Michael was jilted at the altar by his expert-picked bride.

Showbiz Cheat Sheet chatted with Married at First Sight expert Pastor Cal Roberson about his reaction to Michael’s first wedding day and why he thinks some people are too quick to abandon the Mafs process.

A new video depicting former U.S. President Donald Trump as a messianic figure has spurred controversy within Iowa’s evangelical community.
This video is called “God Made Trump.” It imitates Paul Harvey’s famous “So God Made a Farmer” video.
On January 5, a week before the Iowa Republican caucuses, Trump posted the video on his Truth Social account.
“‘God Made Trump,'” he wrote in the caption.
The video had a piano score and started with a narrator speaking seriously.
“And on June 14, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise, and said, ‘I need a caretaker,'” the video’s narrator stated while a black-and-white clip showing a view of the Earth was played. “So God gave us Trump.”
“God said, ‘I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, fix this country. Work all day. Fight the Marxists. Eat supper,'” the narrator continued. “‘Then go to the Oval...
