The 2022 Tribeca Festival announced its TV lineup featuring world premieres of new and returning shows, original scripted audio, and original indie episodic series.
The Festival takes place from June 8-19 and will open with Jennifer Lopez documentary “Halftime.” The features program spans 10 categories and showcases 110 feature films and 16 online premieres from 151 filmmakers across 40 countries.
This year’s TV lineup include nine series premieres and two first looks at returning favorites. Emmy-winning AMC series “Better Call Saul” debuts its mid-season premiere of the final season, followed by a special conversation with lead stars Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn and showrunner, executive producer, and co-creator Peter Gould. Edward Burns’ Epix dramedy “Bridge and Tunnel,” following Long Island college grads grappling with adulthood, also premieres.

This latest edition, which runs from 4 to 8 March, is a milestone for the Finnish short-film festival. The Tampere Film Festival in Finland, one of the most renowned festivals on the European short-film circuit, is turning 50 this year. This anniversary edition will be full of celebration, notably with the section ‘Simply The Best’ comprised of two programmes showcasing an award winning film from every decade of the festival’s existence. Amongst them are perennial festival favourites such as Ken Wardrop’s still beautiful documentary Undressing My Mother and the classic and satirical Breakfast on the Grass from legendary Estonian animator Priit Pärn. The 2018 Palm Springs International Shortfest winners were announced Sunday, with Jérémy Comte’s “Fauve” taking the top prize.
333 short films screened throughout the Festival along with more than 5,300 of the 5,400 filmmaker submissions available in the film market. More than $87,500 in prizes, including $27,000 in cash awards were awarded in 21 categories.
“The award winners truly capture the amazing pool of talent and the incredible range of films found at the festival,” said festival director Lili Rodriguez. “We’re honored to witness and share such a skilled level of filmmaking and can’t wait to do it again next year.”...
