Spoiler Alert: This story contains minor spoilers of Tim Robinson’s “I Think You Should Leave” live show, including general descriptions of unaired sketches.
“I Think You Should Leave” went live Tuesday, April 2, when creators Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin brought their beloved Netflix sketch comedy series to the stage at New York’s Beacon Theatre.
Nearly 3,000 fans showed up for the mysterious, sold-out show, many of them revealing their allegiance to the comedy cult with Dan Flashes button-downs and Corncob TV tees — if you know, you know — and yelling out lines from “I Think You Should Leave” that have been immortalized in gifs and memes.
It was a scene inside the Upper West Side venue, as the line to buy new merchandise snaked through the foyer of the Beacon and created a traffic jam that delayed the start of the program. Among the merchandise on sale were a white...

Seth Meyers is thrilled to be back. After five months off the air due to the writers’ strike, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” returned on Oct. 2 and the host told TheWrap he and the staff fell back into their groove immediately — with an added pep in their step.
“I don’t recommend going through things like a pandemic or a writers’ strike for the purposes of appreciating your job more,” he said. “You should just do it independent of those massive disruptions. But that is a thing they serve to provide, which is a real appreciation for getting to come in to work every day.”
Meyers said there’s an “eagerness” in the staff’s attitude post-strike, bolstered by the fact that he and his writers all feel the work stoppage was worth the gains they received.
“It helps that the writers, myself included, all feel as though the strike was worth it,...

As Lorne Michaels tells it, Saturday Night Live’s most significant cast shakeup in a generation is a product of the pandemic.
In interviews after the Emmy Awards and with The New York Times, Michaels noted that in normal times, the likes of Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Pete Davidson might have left SNL in 2020 or 2021 to pursue other work.
“The pandemic had put us in this position where no one could really leave because there were no jobs,” Michaels told the Times, echoing his post-Emmys comments that there “was no place to go” for long-serving cast members who might otherwise have left beforehand.
Regardless of the cause, Saturday’s 48th season opener will be the first show after one of the largest cast shake-ups in its history. The show did a near-total overhaul prior to the 1985-86 season, and a similar one...

Baymax, the giant, cuddly health bot turned crimefighter and his brainy would-be superhero friends are back in “Big Hero 6 The Series,” premiering as a weekend event Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10, on Disney Channel, the DisneyNOW TV Everywhere app and Disney Channel VOD platforms.
The premiere event features two back-to-back episodes each day from 9 to 10 a.m. Edt/Pdt. The series will air new episodes each Saturday thereafter through September.
“Big Hero 6 The Series” picks up where the Academy Award-winning movie left off with 14-year-old Hiro attending the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology by day and moonlighting with Baymax as a crimefighter, along with his college friends Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred. The series was set up last November with the TV movie “Baymax Returns,” which rewound to just before the original movie ended, revisiting how Hiro rebuilt Baymax while giving the new series a foundation for new adventures.

Disney's Big Hero 6 was such a fun movie! I have no idea if we'll ever see a feature film sequel, but we are definitely getting a new animated series coming to the Disney Channel and today they've released the first trailer! It looks like it could be fun to see the continuing adventures of Hiro, Baymax, and the rest of the team as they fight to save San Fransokyo! Hopefully, the series tells some good stories.
The adventure continues for 14-year-old tech genius Hiro and his compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax. If dealing with the academic pressure of being the new kid at the prestigious San Fransokyo Institute of Technology weren't enough, it’s off campus where things really get tricky. Hiro and Baymax, along with their friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred, unite to form the legendary superhero team Big Hero 6, protecting their city from...

It turns out a wedding isn't actually a requirement to throw a wedding reception, as seen in The Hollywood Reporter's exclusive clip of Random Tropical Paradise.
Written and directed by Sanjeev Sirpal, the raunchy comedy stars Bryan Greenberg as a man who, upon discovering his fiancee's infidelity and canceling his wedding, opts to take his best friend (Brooks Wheelan) on the already-paid-for honeymoon — an adventure that goes awry when they cross paths with the mafia.
Spencer Grammer, Brittany Furlan, Beth Littleford, Kyle Kinane, Jessica Lowe, Ayden Mayeri, Alphonso McAuley, Caitlin McHugh and Joe Pantoliano are also featured in the film.

"We're in a Fast & Furious movie right now, nothing has to make sense." Gunpowder & Sky has debuted a trailer for a wacky comedy called Random Tropical Paradise, about two friends who end up going on a honeymoon together. The story is that, when one guy discovers his soon-to-be-wife is cheating on him, he cancels the wedding. But his friend suggests that instead of cancelling the honeymoon, they turn it into a "homie-moon" and take the trip to this random tropical paradise together and have fun while they can. As with all tropical paradise movies, this dips into the drug boss trope and there's clearly a few drug trip scenes in this. Starring Bryan Greenberg, Brooks Wheelan, Joe Pantoliano, Spencer Grammer, Brittany Furlan, Beth Littleford, Kyle Kinane, & Alphonso McAuley. This looks a bit too crazy for my tastes. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Sanjeev Sirpal's Random Tropical Paradise, from YouTube: For Harry Fluder,...

Big Hero 6 is coming back as an animated series on Disney Xd. Come check this out for what we know so far.
Now when I wrote about the first teaser for Big Hero 6 the movie I was very pleased with the concept. Taking a little known Marvel comic and giving it a fresh look on screen was awesome. And it did real well with the fans proving that it was a good gamble. Back in November we were informed the film would get a sequel dubbed Big Hero 7 aimed at 2017 to 2019 for a release. But before that the 6 heroes will debut on the small screen as a Disney Xd show Big Hero 6 The Series debuting in Fall of 2017.
Now we don’t have much except the above teaser but what we do have is our cast for the show. Ryan Potter will reprise his role as Hiro Hamada,...

Disney’s Big Hero 6 is still probably one of the best (recent) superhero movies, thanks largely to an excellent voice cast and a unique, animated take on the genre. There’s now good reason to hope that Disney Xd’s upcoming Big Hero 6 TV series will match the film in quality, as most of the original voices from the original are set to reprise their roles here.
The Big Hero 6 series is set to pick up right where the film left off, continuing the adventures of Hiro (Ryan Potter), his lovable robot Baymax (Scott Adsit), Aunt Cass (Maya Rudolph), and team of superhero friends – including Honey Lemon (Genesis Rodriguez) and Go Go (Jamie Chung). Other actors reprising their roles comprise Alan Tudyk as tech genius Alistair Krei, and (of course) Stan Lee as Fred’s dad.

Brittany Furlan recently appeared on the big screen in the film We Are Your Friends. Now the digital celebrity, known for her comedic Vine videos, will star in the upcoming feature-length comedy Random Tropical Paradise.

"Scandal" appears to have moved past its dependence on cliffhangers “Scandal” was written around cliffhangers in its first three seasons, but the cliffhangers have now passed on to “How To Get Away with Murder.” As Joshua Alston says of “Scandal,” "It’s no longer a political thriller with heavy-to-a-fault spy genre flourishes, it’s 'Grey’s Anatomy' in the White House. And if that’s indeed what the writers are going for, the absence of a central, hashtag-friendly mystery makes perfect sense. Making his rounds in the New York comedy scene, he was spotted by Nick Cannon who took him under his wing. Davidson was a semi-regular on the revival of Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out improv comedy series on MTV2 last year, leading to a gig on the MTV2 comedy/reality show Guy Code.
