Financial details weren’t disclosed.
Created as an international original movie label of Warner Bros. Particular Crowd’s recent successes include such releases as La Extorsión and Casi Muerta.

Thanks to the Netflix series Stranger Things, I have been a fan of Joe Keery for over seven years already, and thanks to the Prime Video streaming series Daisy Jones & The Six – which drew inspiration from the story of Fleetwood Mac – I recently became a fan of Camila Morrone. So it’s fun to see Keery and Morrone together in the upcoming crime thriller Marmalade, which is set to reach theatres and VOD on February 9th. With a month to go before that date arrives, a trailer for Marmalade has been released online and can be seen in the embed above.
The feature directorial debut of Keir O’Donnell, Marmalade is said to be “an edge-of-the-seat crime-tinged romance tale” that follows recently incarcerated Baron (Keery) who strikes up a friendship with cellmate Otis, a man with a well-versed history of prison breaks. It’s been quite a decade (and a bit) for Signature Entertainment. Having launched in 2011 as a U.K. DVD distribution business (its first release: the live-action/animated adaptation of the classic British children’s book The Velveteen Rabbit), the company — set up by former DVD salesman Marc Goldberg — has evolved and grown with the changing times. It became a major player in the home entertainment space as digital and streamers took over, expanded its distribution into Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the U.S., and also moved into production.

We all make mistakes, even Toni Collette. Fans of the fearless and versatile Australian actress can take solace that she isn’t alone on this one; a whole host of beloved talented people cast their lot with the same sinking ship that is the cringe comedy “The Estate.” in her final days. The most consistent comedic thread in “The Estate” involves a pushily flirtatious cousin, and it’s not nearly as fun as “House of the Dragon” made it look.
In an odd couple pairing, Collette and Anna Faris play sisters Macey and Savanna, who are struggling to keep their family business afloat. When they learn that their wealthy and childless Aunt Hilda (Kathleen Turner) has taken a turn for the worse, scheming Savanna suggests they ingratiate themselves to her in the hopes of securing their inheritance. Things were moving so slowly at the Cannes Film Festival that the pace of deals was almost as glacial as the amount of time it takes to get your check at a restaurant in the south of France.
But then, sacré bleu, Netflix struck, shelling out more than 50 million for the rights to “Pain Hustlers,” a conspiracy thriller that unites Emily Blunt with Harry Potter director David Yates, and the move has started to accelerate deal-making up and down the Croisette.
This year’s market has been a litmus test for film sales as the U.S. and key international markets emerge from the worst of the pandemic. Many buyers have hoped for a correction, one that sees prices cool down, with more opportunities for international distributors who are still smarting from eye-watering global streaming buys during the Covid crisis. Domestic consolidation has also thrown up all sorts of questions...
