Dave Bruno(I)
- Animation Department
- Art Department
Dave Bruno was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. Ever
since he was a child, he has been drawing. After taking every art
course he could throughout his years in High School, Dave decided he
wanted to do something with his talent. When he saw Don Bluth's Titan
A.E. in theaters numerous times, he had found what he wanted, to become
an Animator. After High School, Dave proceeded directly to Columbia
College of Chicago, learning from animators who have worked in the
industry, like Ron Fleischer, Joe Merideth and BJ Crawford. Dave Bruno
graduated Columbia College in May, 2010.
In his first year after graduation, Dave had many big name projects, like working on storyboards for an animated sequence to a live action movie, animating for a Lucky Charms commercial with Calabash Animation, working six months at WMS Gaming as a Creative Services Art Intern, and winning first place and the title of Champion of Flash Artists in the 2011 Newgrounds Tournament of Flash Animators. Shortly after, Dave had received a new job in Mountain View, California, as an Artist for Lightside Games working on Facebook games like "The Journey of Jesus: The Calling", "The Journey of Moses" and "Legend Hunter". After 2 years, Dave returned to the world of Slot Machines by joining IGT's San Francisco branch as an Online Game Artist.
Dave's major influences and sense of humor come from the Warner Bro.s cartoons of the 90's, like Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, and Freakazoid, as well as motion pictures like Titan A.E. and Disney's Tarzan. While Dave may always be ready to share a good laugh, he is a very dedicated and ambitious person, producing the best quality work he can while learning new skills.
