TyKecia Hayes is an emerging creative with years of experience under her belt in television, film, and special events. After receiving her Film degree at Full Sail University, TyKecia left her hometown to follow her childhood dream of living in sunny Los Angeles, California. Her strong work ethic and tenacity have awarded her opportunities to work alongside some of the industry's top executives and companies.
Landing her first internship at Michael Bay's production house, The Institute, she was able to get her feet wet and begin to learn how things work in the television and film world. Here she felt at home and was fortunate enough to fall under the mentorship of the company's co-founder/producer, Scott Gardenhour. It was then she discovered her purpose and passion, producing.
She would go on a journey to hone and perfect her craft; joining companies along the way such as Mosaic, Atlas Entertainment, NAACP Image Awards, Sundance's Blackhouse, Complex Networks/Buzzfeed, & BET Networks.
A few of her producing works include She Had Ask (AllBLK), Canceled (short), Happy Hour (web series), & Swipe (short).
TyKecia joined the BET Networks family in 2017 as a Talent Relations Coordinator. After exploring the talent department and discovering her interest in casting, an opportunity derived to explore a new lane. The Talent and Casting team became her new family in 2018; working alongside one of the top casting teams in the business; casting some of BET's notable projects such as The Bobby Brown Story, First Wives Club, American Soul, Games People Play, Bigger, Kingdom Business, & Average Joe.
The Hampton University Alumna hails from Miami, Florida, and holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Music.
