- Born in Melbourne, Australia, and briefly raised in the suburb Kew. His parents were American, and his father Drederick was playing for a local basketball league, in the team the Bulleen Boomers, at the time of Kyrie's birth. The family moved back to the U.S. when Kyrie was two, settling in West Orange, New Jersey. Kyrie thus has dual citizenship in the United States and Australia.
