A film about finding love and respect through self-reliance, the Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga – Made in India is a heart-warming story that celebrates the spirit of self-reliance. While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film.

For the first time ever, the logo of a Bollywood film has been made by artisans! The marketing team of Sui Dhaaga – Made in India wanted to celebrate the rich and diverse culture of making Indian handicraft. So the team reached out to local artisans and craftsmen from across the length and breadth of the country to create the logo of the film in their unique stitching styles.

Rani Mukerji is going to host the first screening of her film, Hichki, for real-life teachers. Rani plays the character of Naina Mathur, a teacher who has a nervous system disorder, Tourette syndrome that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds. Hichki is a positive, uplifting story of someone who tries to stare down her weaknesses and also become an inspiration to the youth. “Our endeavour with this initiative is primarily to recognise this humble profession of teaching and secondly to show our film first to this noble teacher’s community and get to understand what they feel when they watch it. We are showing Hichki to 319 school teachers representing 260 plus schools from across the country,” says Manan Mehta, VP - Marketing and Syndication, Yash Raj Films.

Yash Raj Films has announced that they have decided to postpone the release of Hichki, starring Rani Mukerji, to 23 March, 2018. Insiders reveal that private screenings of the movie have evoked outstandingly positive reactions and the internal Yash Raj Films team has convinced Aditya Chopra that the family movie that touches hearts should release post exams to get a wider audience.
“The multiple screenings of Hichki saw outstanding reactions. The audience in attendance have called it one of the best content driven & heartwarming movies to ever come out of Yrf. This month, Yash Raj Films (@yrf) used Twitter’s Flock to Unlock card, and became the first entertainment house in the country to carry out a Flock to Unlock campaign for their forthcoming film, Meri Pyaari Bindu. Twitter’s Flock to Unlock card is a feature that drives anticipation and engagement, by involving users to ReTweet and Tweet to “unlock” exclusive content.
To create anticipation amongst movie buffs, @yrf displayed a locked image from the video, and asked followers to engage with it. Once they hit a certain number of Tweets and Retweets, all those who had engaged with the Tweet were sent a link to the Tweet with the full video via Direct Message.
