Off Broadway’s Signature Theatre will take its acclaimed production of Lauren Yee’s play with music Cambodian Rock Band on the road, marking the theater company’s first production to tour. The production, with songs by L.A. band Dengue Fever and directed by Chay Yew, was praised by critics upon its Signature opening earlier this year, and has been mentioned by The New York Times as a potential contender for a Pulitzer Prize for Drama nomination.
The North American tour will be presented by Broadway & Beyond Theatricals during the 2021-2022 season, and will play Berkeley Repertory Theatre and other stops to be announced along with on-sale dates and casting.

Signature Theatre, one of Off Broadway’s premiere companies, has named Meghan Lantzy as its new general manager. She arrives at the Signature from Lincoln Center Theater, where she worked for 12 years.
“There’s always a lot of exciting activity happening at Signature and The Pershing Square Signature Center, and I’m confident Meghan’s management expertise and thoughtful approach will help us continue moving forward and realizing the possibilities inherent in our unique mission,” said Executive Director Harold Wolpert
The company announced Lantzy’s hiring today. She’ll join senior leadership that includes Wolpert, Artistic Director Paige Evans, among others. Lantzy takes the spot previously held by Gilbert Medina.
At Lincoln Center Theater, Lantzy was part of the team that managed over such productions as My Fair Lady, Falsettos, The King and I, South Pacific, and Christopher Durang’s Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, among many others.

Eno was the first writer to complete Signature's Residency 5, a unique program offering three full productions over the course of five years. This is his first Legacy production since completing the program, which included productions of his play Title and Deed, and the world premieres of The Open House and Wakey, Wakey.

The Book of Mormon, the musical comedy from the creators of South Park, was the big winner this morning when the 2011 Tony Award nominations were announced, earning 14 nominations, including Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, and Best Direction. The Scottsboro Boys also cleaned up, with 12 nods. Tony winners Anika Noni Rose and Matthew Broderick made the announcements, and the ceremony will air Sunday, June 12 on CBS.
